Ariete has an extra engine, in test drive I got it up to rip speed on the deck, then put it into a 90* zoom climb, got to 7000m before it stalled out.

Ariete trades a lot of dogfight performance for interceptor performance.
Ariete FM is straight up better, by a lot. Saggitario is not very good to be honest at 9.3, should be 9.0

Ariete’s added weight + thrust means it can’t get slow, & in general pull as hard as Saggitario.
That’s ultimately why I never bought Ariete when I had a vehicle that turns better in the tech tree.
Saggitario was the jet that helped me improve. Ariete wouldn’t have done that.
Ariete with full real? Yeah, that’s an upgrade, which is why it’s a higher BR in simulator than the Sagg.
Ariete’s a good energy fighter in air RB; it’s just not an objective upgrade.
Irrelevant, ariete can sustain far higher turn rates. In a duel, it will win every single time.
Outside of dogfighting, the ariete also gets around 70% faster climb rate and better top speeds. Its just better all around. The sagittario is a 9.0 jet that is overtiered

most 9.0 can just run away from sagittario. the cl13 mk6 is just better at 9.0

Exactly, the ariette is so much better that when I play my 10.0 mirage I completely ignore sagittarios as irreleveant but at the same time focus ariettes with my missiles because they have such a busted flight performance.

Saggitario is much closer in performance to the yak-23 that sits at 8.3 that the ariete at 9.3.
In a duel the yak-23 would actually easily win because it turns much better at slow speeds and better energy retention, and the saggitario doesn’t have much climb rate advantage over it. Its climb rate is similar to the mig15bis.
The ariete is in another level of performance with the extra TWR.
