With the implementation of EFT2000 and Rafale i would have figured that the radar would be upgraded on the Gripen C atleast to better match top tier, the Thales RDY first model as seen on Mirage 2000 -5F has 150km range which could be matched by the PS/05 Mk 3 atleast…
No reason to upgrade the gripen C’s when most of the nations using them have better options available now -gaijin logic
For now at least the EF2000 radar is a worse (bugged) copy and paste of the SHAR F.A2 (blue vixen) radar.
The gripen radar is also a copy and paste of the blue vixen but actually works.

For now being the key word, again no reason for nations with the gripen as their only vehicle to not get better radars than whats seen on MS17

Well, there is certainly reason, but not enough to make it an entirely new aircraft to grind for.
Just update the 13.7 “model” as a “late”
Idk gaijin has done it before where they makw you grind another 400k rp for one new missile and nothing else
Totally onboard with that. But now they have 2 Ceasar already, so giving the later one upgraded capabilities is easier than making a while new one, and besides, the next gripen airframe is bound to be the E.
And the E is pretty much an entirely new airframe, commonality with A/C is miniscule.
So why bother making 2 new aircraft one you can make one and just slightly modify the other. (Hopefully)
The E is the end of the Air tree as a whole. Had gaijin not rushed it i wouldve liked to see the Gripen NG come with early EFT and Rafale so sweden could have a early Gripen C amalgam and a 14.0 worthy Gripen C with a better Radar and for now the current armament on the gripen C. At this point i dont care. Gaijin has made us grind the same jet for 1 new missiles twice for 400k rp theres no point in fighting it. Especially since they have ruined the C by blatantly acknowledging they have no interest in following the MS series and would rsther stick to their own ideal version.
Rushing to the E is bad as rn sweden air has 2 vehicles left, the F18 and the E, maybe F35 but we are ways away from that once the E and F18 are here only the die hard fans are gonna grind, outside of that why grind the swedish air tree. I can play 3 other nations and get the same gripen essentially and have multiple other vehicles to grind.

Now that is confirmed not only ground attackers being given ground modes (with the inclusion of these search modes on the Su-30sm) all jets with these capabilities should receive them.
Not to mention the gripen being stuck with a mark 1 radar significantly hantering its abilities compared to the Mk.iv in use.
I don’t think the radar on live is a mk.1. At the very least its the last iteration of mk.2 or first iteration of mk.3. I made an extensive report on the radar upgrades 9 months ago (Community Bug Reporting System) and it has been sent to devs, but since the JAS39C’s aren’t of a specific MS version the DEVS can pick and choose upgrades based on balance.
Its not any mark. Its the Blue Vixen from the Sea Harrier FA2.
I dont think its gotten a single upgrade or change yet

Now to eventually get literally any of the MS19 upgrades considering the weird mismash of a freak of nature all of the C’s are (burn them with fire)

I think this issue may be better addressed in a forum post that gets enough engagement to attract the attention of the devs through community managers. I’m not exactly sure how we’ll bug reports would work when the devs aren’t sure of the version.
