I need to check the manual (HELP ME) to see what band is it using.
Why are they not kind enough to just tell on what frequency does search radar operate?
After looking around, Manual does mention UHF. It pains me that i cant read Russian.
So i gotta ask cause it seems this forum has lead into the SAAF gripen going off course. Why does the SAAF gripen have MS20 upgrades? When they never bought or used MS20? I can understand if they didnt buy the equipment and it was compatible but this is beyond that. And at the rate we are going this will be another paper plane like the F16AJ

Not everyone even knows about the different Material Systems or MS, and since the SAAF gripen C came before any other C it became the main hub for the gripen. The SAAF military uses the MS19 but theres no official documents for what it is. It received GBU-39 despite SAAB in 2018 pushing for SA to purchase the MS20 upgrade. Again because people assume the C and all its models are the same when they aren’t its lead to inaccuracies. The GBU-39 was added to all gripen C’s. Right now what we have are MS17’s as we use their old radar and we have the CAS from the MS20. We are missing parts because we have amalgamations flying around. The SAAF gripen isnt just a standard MS19 either as other systems like OSIS have taken their hand in upgrading it. Imo it would be better if people learned what models they have instead of trying to create vehicles that dont exist. People get upset with vehicles like the F16AJ which isnt real. Yet if this trend keep ups youll have nations using gripens they never operated.
(Yes i expect to get hate from this but its my opinion, sorry if you dont like it.)

its quite a reach to blame the regular players who may have not intended for this outcome or were unaware of differences within the C variant
Wasn’t my intention to be hostile my apologies if it came put that way. Unfortunately from my conversation with Smin the damage has already been done. Which effects all Gripens since gaijin over simplified them as people weren’t aware of the differences between each nations C model.
