Or at least at a foundational level, I always got the interpration that it was a unique radar that just heavily utilised research/tech from the Blue Vixen.
So what does it mean by “Sub units” then? Maybe thats the part of the timeline that has me a little confused
Yep, I think Blue Vixen C&P is a good starting point at the very least and if it never changes from that, then until the Gripen E, the Gripen A/C are gunna be some strong BVR aircraft
I wonder if there is a bit of a radar overhaul coming in next major update (or ARH update if its not next update) that would see significant enough changes (even back-end stuff that doesnt really affect the users) which is why F-15 and Gripen both have placeholder radars (no idea about the Su-27/J-11 or 4k)
Yeah, but it might be a universal change that would also affect SARH carriers, not just ARH carriers, but is fundamental to ARH working correctly or something
the main issue i personally have with that turn-video is that the pilot stops turning halfway through when the top of the plane is visible. there is a clear ~3 seconds around 3’07 - 3’11 where the plane isn’t turning but instead flies straight. i’m fairly certain that it isn’t the E version. The E version has bigger non-straight wings at the trailing edge.
highly doubt it. compare to 6’03 and look at the differences in how the gap between canard and wing doesn’t change size between 3’08 -3’11 while the 6’03 turn does.
