BOL is wing hardpoints only, i could mount JDAM-ER, or SDB on the belly while still carrying additional countermeasures. It is also quite useful to maybe mix and match asymetric loadout on the belly, or just carry meme loadouts. Also it’s just sad that Gripen-C has more options (10 available weapons to choose from) for its one hard point on the belly, than Gripen-E (6 weapons).
Also keeping the weight that close to centreline has benefits
“Not a bug” or “This feature is not implemented, please make a suggestion”.
i think this one is related to one already being tracked
Premium su 30 does not have this functionality. This will likely be rejected on those grounds.
I think that report is making claims that can’t be supported with the excerpts listed in there.
Ah, but you see, it doesn’t carry ARMs so surely it has no need for it.
Good thing Arexis can geo-locate threats to send GNSS bombs to.
maybe, i remember there being an esotheric scope mode for Flankers with SAL guided munitions, maybe it was in reference to that? or maybe the display screen on the MFDs (i’m just coping)
If capability was all you needed to convince them, would have been added to arexis and spectra on release of ESM. Triangles are hated at the end of the day. They only see platforms with ARMs as warranting it, and even then barely.
@Michael-IR, macron-spokesman is really helping with creating further reports for the functionality. could you add them to the list of reports?
thank you:), and sorry for pinging you
So Gaijin passed the ESM report, for the IRST reports, you guys may have to ask Gaijin or any of the tech mods if they could spend a minute and take a look at the other reports. The reports are there, the sources are there, all that’s needed is for Gaijin to give the Gripen some attention.
JAS39E’s IRST missing track-while-scan mode // Gaijin.net // Issues
JAS39E’s IRST should be capable of detecting surface targets // Gaijin.net // Issues
Tech mods have been pinged about a number of reports for Gripen (including maws).
Nothing has been done, and I suspect nothing will continue to be done.
my hope (cope) is that there’s some higher priority issues being processed. or that, we’re just in a low phase in the game’s cycle. perhaps even that, there might be some throughput issues with the volume of issues, and amount of staff on hand.
being honest, i don’t see more complex ‘secondary’ sensoric being fleshed out further, unless they get a proper insentive (financial, or a jet that’s famous for some mechanic), or until the devs feel the spaghetti in the code is becoming so much that they rework it into a state where changes have less friction involved. even right now, most additions to the side right sensor screeen often break other parts of it (well, that can actually be said about much of wt patches).
with the adding of ecm, the pre-mission radar mode & search-mode setup/selection has become quite bloated. The change feels like a bandaid-fix inbetween state.
Maybe, but the report is for when or if they do decide to add TWS to certain IRST. The report is there and exists for EFT and Rafale, if they do add this feature, then Gripen E could be left out just because the report for it wasn’t accepted.
Given the state of Gripen’s MAWS, gripen would be left out regardless of documented reports.
