We need custom loadouts for the center pylons is what we need
The all-in-one BOL, which is occasionally talked about, has several features that differentiate it from current BOL models. I couldn’t find any detailed information through searching. Could you please explain?
Not sure what you are referring to here? BOL is just the flare/chaff dispenser. Are you perhaps talking about the ESTL pod?
I made a report for the ESTL pod a while ago (i think when the JAS39A came to the game): ( Community Bug Reporting System)
I’m sorry. It seems the translation didn’t work properly again. What I’m referring to is the BOL in this image.

That image is from this document:
They are “mock-ups” which means that they aren’t real and just empty boxes made for testing things like airflow/drag/etc.
The only BOL version in active use that i currently know of is this one: ( https://www.saab.com/contentassets/b6dbecc8e8574587b91116a778fcd20a/saab-bol-product-sheet-2024.pdf )
Think there’s two versions in service though just mounting/design: the -500 series which is the common one used today. (-515 on the Eurofighter specifically) and the -700 which is low observable/less drag used for the AEWCS and the Gripens.
Oh yeah! I had completely forgotten about the -700 :D

Edit:
Here is a video where it’s visible next to the MAWS sensor on the back of the plane as well (timestamped to 1:37 , sensor visible the last couple of frames before the scene change): https://youtu.be/2ov1iziungc?si=TTNLFG32KMZ1RhsF&t=97 .

Well seems like Sweden Gripen doesn’t have LWS, so… Fair questions from BRM.
More like its MAW and LWS are a combined system
Perhaps not since the Brazil one has two sensors.
Brazil also doesnt get rail sensors which Swedish Gripens use. Not on all of their fleet at least
And LWS mentioned only in Brazilian brochure for some reason.
Towed Radar Decoy
Perhaps, gaijin?
Also, in researching them, I found that Saab doesn’t make towed decoys, but there a couple other things that you guys might find interesting:
Radar decoy missiles, like Saab’s Lightweight Air-launched Decoy Missile (LADM), that create a bunch of fake radar signals to cause the enemy to waste munitions, and Saab’s Electronic Attack Jammer Pod (EAJP) that, as the name suggests, jams enemy radars.
They just mixed the MALD letters around and called it a day
MALD stands for Miniature Air-Launched Decoy
