I pretty much spam SPAAs for priority but even then you also have potential for other SPAAs watching the same area so if you take one down, you still have 2 more watching the same area.
And the 100 percent accuracy too.

Yes hitting convoys is a PITA. GIVE US OUR MMW GUIDANCE!
Usually just for ensuring I hit the radar vehicles at minimum. MITL lets you lock up the targets from further range than the targeting pod allows you to get an accurate mark so if I’m worried about getting too close to it (i.e the midfield AAs) I’ll just sling some SPICE 250s in its direction and use MITL to guarantee a kill on the radar.
Lol I just point lock from 80km away.
That’s not possible, if you do that the munition will target a floating point in the air 30km away in the direction you’re looking.
It’s very much possible if you turn sight stabilization off but you gotta have steady aim. This is how I DEAD long range SAMs. I’ve seen so many people asking how, that I’m almost done making a short tutorial video.
At that point why not use GBU-39s though? iirc they have higher range?
Because once spices get into range they’ll lock on and guarantee a hit.
Oh, neat
I have used the Spice-250 like this too, tested the GBU-39 for the extra speed you can drop them at but those did what @Necronomica said and started going for the floating aiming point instead of the ground. Spice-250 works flawlessly though. destroy long range SAM from many many km away, usually drop at like 60-75km at relatively high altitude.
How high is relatively high? My general rule of thumb has been 1km of altitude for every 10km of range on any glide mx
edit: Also, is it not worth just using the target point on map and spamming them that way? Or will they just all LOAL onto same target?
not thought much about it but between 8-11km altitude. I mostly spawn at the furthest back airfield to be able to climb and level out before I start droping the bombs in order to deal with the moving sight in the TGP
for me the SPICE-250 doesn’t work with the new system of pre selecting what bomb goes to which of the 10 points you can set up. it only drops one at a time and the last one always flies out in to the ether.
so I tend to individually target each target, ITO gets two spices because they often times shoot the first one down.
I just meant where you can middle mouse on the map
ah, nah I think they would all end up going for the same target atp
Yeah just tried it, managed to wipe out almost 2 entire SAMP/T sites in one sortie
Know if the same holds true for GBU-53s?
Oh, don’t forget some of them reside in the Aether, only popping out to smite you in your moments of weakness.
and even if the seeker was being stable, there’s still these bugs: Lock-on bug on the GBU-53 MITL & CAS with SPICE 250 (& GBU-53) 3rd Person Targeting Bug
(note that seeker behaviour seems nearly completely shared between GBU 53 and SPICE 250)
Now that is very interesting. Will have to test once i get the time :)
might be salvo-ing bugs, or GNSS bugs as there’s a bunch of those
