Absolutely agree, airplanes in the game generally should be more close to its service armament depending on what nation and configuration its in. For Sweden i would rather have worse missiles for the time beeing and wait for IRIS-T, Meteor, EW so forth.
There is no indicator of what type of radar there is like SRC, TWS etc in the cockpit and also no indicator that shows whether the radar is on or off. Is there any information/bug report on that by the way? This was also a problem in Gripen C btw.
In all honesty i actually wouldn’t mind if they denoted the current one “JAS39E (Production Prototype)” or something like that. Would give them some wiggle room and allow for the actual in service version to come later with EW mechanics, datalink and the more modern missiles (etc).
Why is the nose gear so straight? In real life it looks like the front is kinda kneeling but in game it’s straight.

the image itself came from the discussion of gripen e when it was first passed to the developers
Dont count on it. Gaijin acrewed the CV90120 over and still haven’t un screwed it ao its worthless currently
there is small cues that show so:
- tws: has velocity vectors on detected targets at tracks them outside the scan zone
- stby: makes some settings (mainly horizontal&vertical cueing) return to the default on the displays
but ofc that’s very missable in the cockpit:/
What do you mean? Is a discussion here on the forum the original source for the image? is that the first place it was seen? Is it then player made?
I think i’ve narrowed down the issue with the targeting pod and the pylon. The targeting pod in game is mounted straight along the fuselage when the pylon isn’t (both in-game and IRL).
In game:

IRL

with the pod IRL:
Notice the angle of the pod, the back of the pod aims for the back wheel sort of.
Yeah I’ve been saying this during our previous discussion
Oh, i missed that then, i thought there was a discussion on the angle of the pylon out from the body around the Z axis instead of the Y axis.
the first place that someone on wt used it was in that discussion
Yeah the problem is when there is no targets in the radar, easy to miss whether it is on or off. Or if i turn it on briefly and it hasnt caught up any targets just yet, it is on but you dont know it.
There should be clear indicators just like any other plane imho.
Oh, that doesn’t really matter. Gaijin wants to know the original source to be able to judge if it’s credible or a something someone made up.
It’s official from Gripen NG brochure
Do you have a link to it? I haven’t seen that one.
Thank you :)
So if we’re going by that then it should be 12 spice bombs and a pod instead of 16 spice bombs and no pod.
