oh btw you can see the annoying frame thing that they need to hang on the pylon in order to attach the fishingrods in both of these pictures
If it can carry a JDAM on the outer pylon, it should be compatible with the rack that GBU-39 is mounted on
(both use MIL-STD-1760)

Exactly this! The connectors and pinouts are the same.
my only concern would be the weight aspect, (as we’ve basically disregarded practicallity in WT)
if we knew the weight of the bomb-rack for the Virgo m/71 bombs (probably one of the heaviest ordinances on the outer wing pylon), it might be possible to justify the re-adding of the outer-pylon GBU-39 and even maybe some of the other heavy stores
I see no reason to believe that the wings of an E are weaker than C.

i mean, the rack plus sdb is heavier than an RBS 15, 4 ~122kg (GBU-39 SDB I) + 147kg (BRU-61/A)
and the bending force might be too much, though doubtful that such’d be true, i’d still like to disprove it first
The C does it. Just can’t see a reason the E can’t given the stronger/heavier airframe.
What is the max payload capacity? Is that something we can see in game?
on another note, this gripen-e has its canards asynchronously deflected. Is this just basically photoshoot posing, or some kind of weird quirk?

the heaviest loadout i can create rn is around 6000kg (5929.7kg)
They have the same max wing load of 2500kg, which two full pylons does not exceed. And a full load of belly and wing SDBs does not exceed total capacity either.

RBS15 is still around 650-660kg. 4x122kg + 147kg = 635kg so just a smidge under but not really a significant amount.
These are all of the C version so can’t be used for that anyway.
I saw. Didn’t need them after all though for the report.
Not really, just the general shape, there are a lot of structural and electronic differences that make it in practise an entirely new plane.
