Issues locking them, can only deploy 1 at a time. Host of bugs, some introduced in dev, some from live.

They’re entirely useless at the moment, including in the EF2K. Par for the course at this point unfortunately
As per recent gaijin dev responses, you’d need to prove that it couldn’t carry the 9M for it to be removed

I found this pylon system attached to the Gripen E, although unsure on the specific model.
Seems like it’s from RUAG since they were mentioned for the Gripen E pylon integration. I assume the Gripen E is still aiming to be NATO compatible with most weapons but just a question of what’s currently mounted and able to be fired from.
(Still waiting for the KEPD 350 though reee)
Yeah this is the NATO standard pylon I think, it significantly differs in operation to the Swedish one.
You can see the pylons in these pictures here from the 100 year celebrations. Two pictures of the same plane, NATO pylon caries the bomb and the Swedish pylon carries the missile.

You can hang the missile rail on the NATO pylon too, but it is more tedious and takes significantly longer according to the maintainers I have spoken with.
39E is to mine and their knowledge only going to be equipped with the NATO pylon.

Would probably be a smart move in general to move away from proprietary stuff anyway.
Issue is that it will be hard to keep the rearming times as low with only NATO pylons due to the quite poor mechanism for connecting the fishhooks. It will especially be a problem since the airforce wants to cut turnaround from around 15 minutes to under 10 minutes.

Is this proof that it could technically carry GBU-39s? As a certified avionics cable technician myself I don’t think it’s crazy to adjust the lengths of the wing runs and then just adding two more breakouts for the belly. That kind of work would be done by people like myself and the cable design engineer (the complexity of the design is tied to the technicians skill).
I do not see a reason how it SAAB would decide that they would not wire these pylons for GBU-39 concidering all other “advanced” guided weapons that can be carried on this pylon like GBU-49 for example which also is GPS guided along with the laser or RBS15 which is one of the more advanced air to surface weapons the Gripen carries.
I’ve worked with them before they would definitely keep the capability. If they are using the same pylons then the same connectors should be present unless they got some special revisions which there is no proof of.
