Oh god i can count the fucking pixles bro.
Bomb drop segment with better quality
Youtube is taking their sweet time processing the decent quality version of my video, but it is most certainly possible to actually kill enemy vehicles from a decently high alt with CCIP drops. Despite dropping smaller bombs, the target ate one to their face. Against actual opponents, I’d be functionally immune to SPAA, barring the M247 and PGZ09. CCRP is much less accurate, for reasons your video illustrates perfectly. I’d expect the Saab 105 to be capable of the exact same performance as my Alpha Jet E.
Again the difference here is people who could play and waste most of their bombs trying to kill a target that doesnt move vs having two self guided agm 62A’s. The fact of the matter also comes down to nobody in all seriousness is going tonplay from that altitude unless you’ve got teammates who can give exact pings. Do i think the saab 105 should go to 8.7 sure, paste that it doesn’t make much sense. Its not particularly good at anti air unlike my alpha which surprisingly has replaced my g.91 for cas and anti cas.
This sort of drop is exactly the way I’d engage enemy SPAA, which tend to sit nice and still. For tanks, you can happily go lower and slower for vastly increased precision. I have experienced a Saab 105 early CAS spawn before any SPAA were spawned, and it was easily getting 3 to 4 kills per sortie, until I had to spawn a SPAA or fighter to kill it myself.
The original point the other poster made was that a Saab 105 could engage targets outside of SPAA retaliation range, which I have proven.
I still really dont agree because its not true. I can hit saabs that due this and at that point a pe8 could essentially due the same thing or an il 28. Again that opens another thing which more just proves it more of a nit pick post. I dont have to get closer to nuke an area with a bomber. I do bring my pe8 and tu14t to 9.3 and do fine. Most spaa cant him me cause i just do micro adjustments, again its more of a moot point. This isnt exclusive to the saab and is just a playstyle.
SAAB-105 in realistic mode: you take the missile suspension, crawl to the engagement line, fire missiles at the ground, try to get to the airfield low above the ground. It’s good if the enemy has no time for you, then you make a second flight. By this point the fight is usually over. If they pay attention to you, the fight ends for you.
SAAB-105 in arcade mode: the first battle - you take the rocket suspension, crawl to work on ground targets - the battle ends for you. Always.
The second fight - take a mixed suspension. If you are not shot down on approach, you work on ground targets, get a little bit of experience and a little bit of money. You look with envy at how much they give for a shot down (strange, right? After all, the purpose of the battle is to attack? If it is not to capture points.)
The third battle and all subsequent ones - you take a cannon and air-to-air missiles. You can’t be a stormtrooper and play like a sub-fighter. Fighters are faster, more responsive, and hit you on passes from all angles. You’re just a clumsy bug, if you try to screw someone, then the second one hits you - you’re such a tasty target - a plump barrel.
Summary: Slow, clumsy, everyone’s favorite target. If you can’t hit me from six o’clock, then that’s your problem, because I won’t fly in a straight line.
Suitable only for assault in realistic mode.
Don’t touch the SAAB-105 rating. Otherwise, there will be one more crippled plane in the game.
Well, or let’s raise the ratings of everyone who is difficult for me to knock down. I can post a list.
Plenty of planes are crippled in their stock grind. SAAB would be fine moving up.
