Tbh what we actually need is fixing the radar returns on the blades and making LDIRCM work the way it works IRL, as in, only being to deflect/distract one missile from each direction, but not multiple in one direction. That way if you fire more than one missile at it, it should be able to go down with IR missiles.
As for multipathing, that I can’t give an opinion on, but ARH missiles struggling against helis is a problem.
LMUR itself isn’t over performing, the problems come from the fact that LDIRCM makes it invincible against a lot of threats, and ARH missiles do not work against any helis, not just Mi-28.
Edit: MFW you still need to bring older SACLOS SPAAs because new SPAAs are almost next to useless.
I guess this is why I saw 100 people in queue for Rank VIII USSR earlier, when next highest was 20 for Rank V Germany.
Wonder what the times are like to get into a game with a queue like that? Or maybe there are just whole matches with all Russian vehicles, that would be kinda funny.
LMUR is better than competition, but since they got stuck with vickhrs for eons it gets a pass for me
Mi28 invulnerability to such modern systems is a problem though
An other problem with ammunition is deconfliction. If someone fires a volley at you, the missile will just go for the center of the blob instead of one specific ammo.
I was kinda excited to play USSR after this patch, but when I took a look in the queue I thought that wasn’t the right moment to do so. Then I considered Japan, guess that’s also a no. I think I’ll return to research some British vehicles, perhaps Swedish at lower battle rating that I left behind.
As LOBL gets the selected target Spotlit by the FCR to calculate, derive and upload corrected INS / Lofting data for a weighted predicted point of interception aim point, then SARH’s its way on in in the terminal phase, with backup guidance provided by the seeker.
LOAL works off a sensor source(FCR, TADS, RWR, Datalink source, HMD, etc.), as above and does what it can with the target sorting algorithm, and super scanning the predicted volume to find the target that is roughly right for the threat class.
Right now when you launch 8 LMURs you’re 100% going to get 8 kills, but with its counterpart the AH64E you launch 16 JAGMs yout 2-3 kills others hit tracks, engine…etc when you launch against MBTs, which is a huge difference and it’s not really a counterpart when LMUR is miles ahead of JAGM, AGM114L should’ve came instead of JAGM honestly.
Russian players holding W is not a very big deal for me, but for teammates… If you know how to play you can kill the russian rushers but teammates are just stupid
