Not really, CAS is the more severe problem now, BMPT was just PUMA 2.0.
I’d hope it’s not a problem at 12.3
Not to mention the mentally slow people who use it aren’t an issue.
BMPT is a hate crime in the game, but we as players need to do better and that’s just stop playing the game. Don’t just all jump to play as Russia. But no 75% + of top tier players are Russian and they are queuing because of these dumb broken additions Gaijins keeps releasing.
Premium LMUR heli is coming maybe a Ka-52. While they add the Ka-52M to the tech tree and increase top tier Heli Br by 0.3 to justify the crap of “no top tier premiums”
Game is in a really bad place right now and Gaijin don’t want to fix it. Not being able to play a certain BR spread for 6 months because Gaijin want to make money is a really bad way to run a game.
Counterpoint: we actually need more people playing russia at this point so Gaijin is forced to employ mixed matchmaking. And maybe when russia players play against their own stuff all the time Gaijin might actually balance it.
Buddy in the European servers the majority are Russia at this BR.
Mixing the teams is not the way to balance a game and if you need to mix teams to justify an addition then maybe it shouldn’t be in the game.
They have the crappy infantry mode that’s where the BMPT should be, not facing tanks in the tank mode.
Gaijin care more about money and the promotion of the Russian federation than they do for the rest of the player base.

You forget - when it was first wheeled out it was horrendously under BR’d at 9.7. Plus it was regularly up against opponents lacking 2nd gen thermals. Lack of a reverse gear and gun depression was not issue for any player with more than two functioning brain cells - which thankfully very few wallet warriors did.
Combine that with the ever-present K1 ERA’s ability to magic away shots that it had no right to do - it would often be survivable in a way that the XM-1 really doesn’t if you show the wrong angle. The TURMS was a massive pain in the backside to deal with on release if you were playing any nation other than Russia.
