So, I has playing the MiG-21bis “Lazur M” today and I was experiencing a strange bug where the R-3R radar missiles here behaving like IR missiles. What I mean by that, they only give a positive feedback (the red circles arround the target) when you drop below 3km in rear-aspect, all the while making the SFX of IR missiles.
I’m posting this here so you guys can also test it, but I already made a bug report available here

IR missile sound is not a bug and is just a mistake or real by gaijin
Idk looks like a normal radar missile behavior to me
AIM-9C also uses IR tone
Because actually it’s not a ir tone, it’s the scream of a hungry beast crying to be released on its prey
Sooo, coming back to this. These last weeks have been a little convoluted and i coulnd’t reply, sorry, but I had some free time to look into this and i’ve found out 2 things:
1 - There was something wrong with the game
2 - It was my fault, not Gaijin’s (please Lord Snail, forgive me)
What happened was: I had to switch my SSD, but instead of doing it the right way with a cloning tool I was lazy and went with the “Cut-Paste” route, as it turns all, not all of the files from the original SSD were transfered. I noticed that some models in the game had missing/bugged textures, some would crash the game when I tried to preview them in my hangar.
It all made sense in my head when i tried to open other files and was hit with a message that they were no longer in my pc.
So, to fix i simply had to unistall the game, making sure that all of the game files were removed (lost all my custom sights and my controls in the process beacuse I forgot to do a backup…) and then re-install, now everything is working again.
So that was it, i’m not going to delete this post because someone might have the same issue in the future, but yeah, it was my fault.
