1. Would be odd to implement with arbitrary values, and would also cause some Russian and Chinese mains to do the same annoying “Germany Suffers” style whining and attempt to get the NATO 120s to have variable reloads as well, just causing an overall hassle to the devs and players. We want the game to be fun and balanced, no?

2. A compromise change would be only introducing it on later vehicles, like T-72B onwards, T-80B/U onwards, and maybe BMP-2M and the such. The reason I suggest podboi as spall liners with a possible reduced effectiveness is that currently the Russian top-tier lineup is incredibly lacking in the spall liners that the majority of their competitors possess, with those that don’t posses a spall liner having a more favourable armour scheme and more crew, or better mobility and other aspects.

The more crew is directly related to the reload speeds you’re referring to. It would be silly the negate the entire purpose of person and it only be there to slow you down if you take a hit, SLOWER than the reload of comparable auto loaders. The extra person becomes net loss to the crew since his only purpose besides switching when he dies is to slow the reload.

NATO should be faster than the auto loaders. Once they’re fixed as a module they’re operable, the crew is perma debuffed unless they get a new crew member.

The reloads are fine as they are.

If not why not give us the choice ingame if we want the loader to close the door or not?
I would choose faster reload ingame rather than surviving a shoot that removes all my ammo anyways

Gaijin could balance this by increasing the reload time of manually loaded tanks, the more you fire the slower the reload because the loader gets exhausted, with a small cooldown that resets to the initial “fast” reload time… simulating the loader catching his breath

They have to lower the inital reload time ofcourse to make it realistic

I have, however, provided proof that 5s reload is not only plausible but also quite easy to do;

yeah i dont think i’ve ever said that wasn’t possible for crews to do? i’ve had tank crew men tell me they could reload non stop every 3 - 4 seconds.

i mean thats like someone saying that autoloader should get a possibility to jam or be unrepairable unless its at a base. No one would do that or put it in-game, and its a really stupid idea,

It is not permitted to fire the main gun with the door open, although nothing prevents you from doing so. In real world situations if targets required fast engagement times like this, it is entirely possible to do so.

Additionally, to keep the door open would require you to turn it off once it is opened or to hold your knee on the switch the entire time which is difficult to do while quickly loading the main gun.

It depends on how bad faith you intend to argue, I don’t really have an issue with western/eastern reload as much as someone saying there’s no advantage

I’m not even at top tier with Germany (2A4 currently), and I have a 2A4, 2K and 2AV with max loader/commander levels for the best possible reload.

What I can absolutely inform you is that there is no crew compartment internal spall liner. The entire turret interior is raw metal baseplate. No spall protection.

Your highest BR Russian vehicle is a T-54-II, you aren’t exactly sitting on a pile of personal experience with any of the Russian MBT’s.

I’ll give you a brief overview:

• Leo 2A4 & M1 Abrams > T-80B.
• M1A1 & IPM1 > T-80UM2.
• M1A1 AIM & M1A1 Click-Bait > T-80U.
• Leopard 2A7V > T-80BVM & T-90M.

Russia’s got pretty good lights, SPAA and CAS (incl. heli CAS), but their MBT’s are usually inferior.

But yes you are right! If I go slightly lower on the BVM the drivers hatch shows as not penetrable anymore making the tank even stronger!
You proved that the BVM has even better armor! Good job.

Also I did the same on the 2A7 it changed nothing! I even zoomed all the way out. Still UFP of 2A7 is easy to pen for BVM
