The video here says it all. Russian dart acts like APHE where spall makes 90 degree turns to kill the crew while the 76mm dart doesn’t even damage the autoloader or destroy the shell it directly hit.
It would be really nice to see Gaijin take a step back and release a major update addressing this game’s issue because in it’s current state, the game is borderline unplayable alongside sound, video and other issues.

Literally went thru breech of the cannons which generated the spall. Also 76mm and lower darts do indeed spall less, but everyone knows that their post pen damage is worse.

Rooikat Mk.1Ds’ 76 mm APDS-FS is pretty weak and spall is not effective to take down vehicles when you don’t have pin point accuracy to hit specific modules, it’s not because of the update, 76 mm APDS-FS has always been like that, compared to a 100 mm APDS-FS which is obviously much more stronger, better performance and post-pen damage, it’s not Russian bias if you think it is, sheer skill issue I must say.
Rooikat Mk.1D is far from a player-friendly vehicle, it require knowledge, my best tactics using the Rooikat Mk.1D is by taking distance, praying that I’ll hit something if I don’t have time to aim and flank when possible or take module by module for a more safe approach, I think, after this experience you learnt how to approach vehicles using the Rooikat Mk.1D and vehicles alike.
Don’t see how the video proves anything.
Some things are ofc underperforming but this doesn’t prove something else is overpreforming.

24% less caliber, 75% less spalling. The math doesn’t add up
Learn how to approach vehicles? I direct hit his ammo and it did not blow up. I don’t know if the Snail is paying you to defend them, but shooting a tank directly in his ammo rack is not a skill issue. I don’t think that’s hard to understand.

Spall isn’t directly based on caliber in that sense, but short rod vs long rod APFSDS do produce different spalling. It’s based on residual penetration of the APFSDS after penetration as well as the type of armor penetrated, some kinds of armor produce more spall than others (there might be more factors that i’m forgetting at the moment).
You didn’t “directly hit his ammo”, the spall hit the charges turning them orange which only gives it a VERY small chance of cooking off. That also isn’t the autoloader, it’s just charge storage.

In War Thunder every ammunition is underperforming, that’s why you don’t see DM53 or so labeled as penetrating 700 mm of armor or so.
The video shows us that Soviet darts do not act like APHE, and in-fact they have very little fragmenting and the armor has little spalling.
Not sure why you’ve given us evidence that APFSDS doesn’t fragment much, and the armor doesn’t spall a whole lot.
The title is also entirely irrelevant to the content of this topic.
Over-performing would be in penetration, which you didn’t speak on.
76/62 also didn’t hit any ammo directly, we all have video evidence of it missing.
Would help if their modeling wasn’t designed to match the inverse of the way residual penetration impacts spalling IRL.
