Russian CAS and Helicopter are bad

The Mi28NM already has access to LMURs, one of the most potent ways of destroying AAs and tanks at its BR. Missiles like the one the ADATS uses already have to be guided via vision so if you just simply get out of their line of sight, you can easily neutralize the missiles.

Actually, Gaijin developed tanks before planes but decided to go with planes first
to establish a player base and not go head on with WoT’s directly right out of the gate.
The entire premise that tanks were an “after thought” is simply not true.
Tanks were added to broaden the game, give players more to do/vehicles to
play with and make the game more interesting.

While I have no proof, I would wager a vast majority of the “Tanks Only” portion
of the player base either played WoT’s first or at least have played both.

Planes are not the problem in ground battles, it is how they are implemented.
The horrible spawning system and time limit in AB make planes almost
not worth playing most of the time.
Then you have the “respawn point system” in RB(the real and actual problem
with planes in ground battles) which is easily manipulated, has no time limitations
and overall has changed that mode into a respawn points quest instead of a game.

So your artsy memes aren’t really accurate and the issues many tank players feel
strongly about are more about game mechanics than the actual vehicles being used.

At least that is how I see it . … I stopped playing Ground RB shortly after the respawn
point system was implemented. I didn’t think it worked then and it has not gotten
any better . … imho.

Which is too bad, because I liked the mode before that very much. I also played
some Sim tanks and it was a blast . . . . then they added the list thing, restricting
the choice of vehicles players could use . . . made me give that up too.

So for tanks I just play AB, and wish there were more/better options.
But there aren’t so . … your choices are: play the game you are given
or not.
Endless complaining and making demands to change the game to suit your wishes
is not really helpful . . . making good suggestions can help, but no guarantees

Well . . . the higher tiers have their own set(s) of problems anyway.

All that automated/guided weaponry . . . I mean, the vehicles look cool
and go fast and all that, but so much “game” is just not there with BVR

To me anyway . . . I stick to the mid tier stuff . . I still have fun there

The reason I cant stand low/mid tiers, most vehicles are just ugly and disgust me. Sure there are some vehicles Id smash like f4 corsair but rest is nowhere near to f5, phantom or skyhawk in terms of badass-ness to me.

USSR attack helicopters are completely fine as it is and in fact being held by an artificial “buff” if we can say so: Mi-28NM should not have LMUR in the pylon 2 and pylon 3, this has been shown a lot of times in operational scenarios and real combat events. As it is right now is fine and balanced to the other nations. Don’t expect Ka-52M to be nearly better, would be worse if Gaijin implement it accurately as possible since it needs a specific modular component in the pylon 6 to use LMUR. This also applies to close air support, which is fine as well, no need to improve in some way that would affect power.

No other nation has anything even close to the KH-38MT at the moment except maybe France with the AASMs, and even then they are weaker by a chunk.

We are still awaiting major buffs for other nations like MMW Brimstones for the Typhoons.

As for helis. Gaijin has been intentionally ignoring reports regarding Spike, PARS, Hellfire and now JAGM for ages. Meanwhile LMUR is perfectly modeled.

So TLDR, Soviets have the strongest CAS at the moment

You know that ADATS has a max range of 10km and the MI-28NM has a max range of 16? km

Just dont sit so close to the battlefield, and complaining about the ADATS when the Pantsir is only 0.3 BR higher is just hiliarous

and the MI-28NM has twice the LMUR missile count it has IRL

You’ll have to completely ignore Japan to state that, it has better helicopter with 4x more missiles, longer range and probably faster or equally faster since the Wiki don’t state exact numbers, and equally effective airplane (Su-30MKM and Su-30SM2). Is a fact that Japan took the best advantage with sub-tech trees in the recent months.

It has the exact same heli as the US, France, UK and China, with 16 not 32 JAGM-MRs which have the same artifical nerf as the Hellfires that proceeded it. The LMURs are stronger than the JAGM-MRs by quite a margin

and yes, it does now have KH-38MTs via Su-30, but that doesnt mean that the soviet one isnt still also OP

Everyone likes different things, I am older(68) and grew up seeing totally different vehicles
than a lot of WT players now did.
Not saying anything is “better” than the other, just different, and that’s ok.

My only wish is a lot more younger players could get to know some of the older
stuff for historical reasons. And maybe play them enough to see the fun that can
be had in the mid tiers . . . we wouldn’t have what we have today, if we had not
had those early planes, tanks and ships we see in the game.

But different people like different things, and that’s ok
It’s a HUGE game now and there is something to play for almost anyone
I would say . … part of the “beauty” of this game really
and that’s cool

p.s. I have 12 years playing the game today btw . . . it’s my Anniversary . . .

Depends what you mean by top tier, if you mean max BR, then no Russian CAS and helis are currently the best in game, if you mean higher BRs like 10.7+ then they are rather lacking due to very limited amounts of F&F weapons and targeting optics that require you to fly more or less straight at the target while guiding the weapons, which is fine for the air to ground balance, but lags quiet a bit compared to a lot of the western counterparts, especially USA.

I honestly thought the whole “planes where first therefore is fine that they are OP” was a pretty dumb argument anyway. The idea that players of an entire mode should be nothing but targets just because your preferred vehicle type was implemented first is rather entitled and self centered IMO, regardless of what was implemented first things need to be balanced so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.
