Ok so the structure of your argument is:
Brochure says SU30MK is compatible with KH38MT → Another brochure calls SU30SM “SU30MK with canards and TVC” → therefore SU30SM compatible with KH38MT despite no other proof
Correct?
Oh boy…
yes.
The differences between the MKI and the SM are radar and communications systems.
The airframe is the exact same.
Unless you’re going to argue against Sukhoi, for whatever reason.
Alright. Thank you very much for clarifying
Then it raises another question: why Venezuela mk2 and Chinese mkk dont have access to kh38? Gaijin choice for balancing reasons?
unless there is something that says the fcs is diffrrent, we can say su30sm can have it.
but to be more clear, su30sm2 doesnt have anything to prove it should have it.
Most likely. It’s the same reason the MKK derivatives lack the Kh-31D’s.
I guess Gaijin doesn’t want top tier CAS weapons in the hands of premium users. (which is a good thing.)
Sukhoi themselves classify them as distinct aircraft themselves, no? If they were identical in every way besides just a few boxes of electronics you wouldn’t need different production lines.
Ok now im intrigued.
Why doesnt the same argument apply to the SU30SM2 when that one is clearly related to the SU30SM which, according to you, can use the 38MT?
They came off the same production lines.
Sukhoi also stopped marketing them as Su-30MK with Canards and TVC, and instead solely offer Su-30SME since MKK derivatives have stopped production.
Sadly, none of the brochures for the SME show a full weapons kit, if any weapons at all.
no as the sm2 we have ingame is completly fake in term of avionics.
we have zero proof of it with ibris as the su30 that got it was a su30mkv test bed.
there also zero info about the engines, only proof that exist is a video of su30sm in factory with 2cm different engine size. which is not enough for it to get the new engine.
However the MKI plainly has different avionics (and also weapons compatibility) to the Russian domestic version. You cannot for example - fit some of the InAF’s ordnance to an Su-30SM because the jet and the stores will not ‘talk’ to eachother.
Which - coming back to the original point - is why using a brochure for a different aircraft (even if it is SIMILAR it is still a different type) doesn’t work.
russia just replaced the india avionics with their own, which is already based on su30mkk or better.
Ok so being related to the SU30MK is enough for the SU30SM to receive KH38MTs without any further proof but the SU30SM2 needs precise info to receive its equipment?
Right - we definitely know you don’t have a clue how aircraft avionics work…
because the plane is new and we nothing about its upgrade. and gaijin still went along and gave it the full su30sm weapons.
its could be the same, could be different, could be su35 fcs. who knows,
doesnt matter. just told you how the story of how su30sm was created thats it.
take it however you like. whats writter wont change.
This is true. But we are not using the MKI Explicitly as the source, instead what would be commonly called the MKI Standard.
Su-30MKs with Canards and TVC can have their systems changed depending on the customers demands. Such as what India or Malaysia requested.
The Su-30SM does use the MK with TVC and Canards basis (Which is what is commonly called the MKI Standard since India was the first customer).
Tbf Gaijin’s implimentation of the SM2 was just using AI to find out the differences and adding those.
That’s why we have stuff like N035 instead of an upgraded N011R, and we’re missing stuff like the extra CMs and 360* RWR.
