Fair but I think difference between arietes and 12.7 helis is that 12.7 helis were meta but meta shifted towards new helis with introduction of laser jammers + better fnfs. Cant recall a time when ariete was even remotely close to leopards or abrams. Let alone being meta.

True but the point is still the same as with the Arietes. Most equipment in the game thats not particularly great stays that way rather than receiving questionable buffs.
