Yep youre right, its 10. BR increase would be an option but i feel like 20 Spikes would be annoying as hell even at 12.7.
Im 100% sure its because Gaijin didnt want to add another premium vehicle with scouting capabilities in the 10.3-10.7 range. No one is going to buy a 2S38 or a BMP 2M if the BMPT fills the same role but better.
Now imagine 20 unnerfed Spikes just deleting anyone that dared to show their antennas. Tanks without APS would be aggravating to play to say the least.
I think 2S38 is unique enough for people to buy it regardless of it’s or BMPT’s designation.

2s38 has scouting. And can earn sp for 10.7 premium jet. And market su25bm. And 11.0 su17m4 / mig27m. And 11.3 mig27k / su24m / su25t / su39. And all that without uptiers to top tier aa. Bmpt cant do that.
Don’t forget most people take it to top tier for more rewards, lower SP cost and robbing tankers of gain since a 10.7 tank that can kill you is not going to give you the same as an equal BR tank. That’s one problem with RP, SL and SP Gajin needs to fix for uptiers.
