And the Soviet mbts may not have the fastest gun depression reverse or reload speeds, but they have seen reload speed buffs to give them the theoretical max reload time consistently something japan hasnt gotten. They have some of the best armor in the game probably even the best when you consider how buggy heavy ERA is on the tanks I mean I know we all love shooting a bvm in the side only for Relikt to stop the round lol.
Gun depression on god does not matter for like 90 percent of the maps which apparently all take place in the great plains, especially considering how many maps were designed for ww2 tanks which across the board lack gun depression.
But it is interesting to bring up soviet mbts considering they still lack internal features and their one internal feature they do have saves the tank from exploding more than anything, while also typically being the standard for what MBTs get as I recall spall liners weren’t added until the soviets could get one and gun control was also limited on nato tanks was it not until the soviets got a tank with similiar stats.
They were strongest before all guidance and explosive nerfs. And again, nobody but us had smth remotely close to fury.
Japan already has fastest gun reload on mbt with good mobility and shell. And gun depression even without suspension usage
Those maps still have hills where nato tanks excel. And even if its complete dm_flatgrass, nato tanks still have better reload.
The only advantage against nato tanks. For now.
On entire one tank which is also one of worst top tier tanks in game. Entire challenger 2 line has spall liners. 3 strv 122 have spall liners. Leo 2a7 has spall liners. Yea they got them bit later but a) they are better tanks in general b) uk and sweden can build lineup with those spall liner tanks. Russia has entire 1 t90m. 2 actually after this update, other one has aps variant.
Speaking of aps, soviets got their top tier tank with aps 3 years after brits did. 3 years.
And bullpups. US got those back in 2018. 5x on fury. When did soviets get their analog? Only 2 kh23m 2 years later.

It has 4 nords which is a) 1 less than on fury b) weaker than bullpup. Also its not russian as well.

ok no one here is quite appreciating how unhinged strong the kh31s are, they need to address this cause this is MUCH MUCH MUCH worse than kh38mt or LMUR ever was, western arms are straight up not even in the same universe
Gotta balance out the idiots that actually think that Russian MBTs are among the best.
They are so strong that they actually have caused a lot of Russian top tier teams that I faced to lose their games.
And no I’m not screwing with you or saying that you are wrong. There are now a lot of Su-30s that run ARM only CAS loadouts because they are so strong. So it’s funny to just spawn a tank and spank their (remaining) ground team while all they can do is watch helplessly.
What does that have to do with KH31 being OP? I could just as well say NATO players lose because they focus on using ARM instead of AGM. You have no evidence

Kh31 is strong so a lot of people seem to spawn full ARM loadouts on their Su-30s now.
In my experience the NATO players that I have played with noticed this after 1-3 AA deaths and realized “well nice ARM loadout you have there. Would be a shame if we just went back to spawning normal tanks and spank your ground team with those”.
And boom, now you have possibly multiple Su-30s completely out of the fight. They can either J and risk not being able to respawn, or keep flying around uselessly in the hope someone spawns another AA.

this is only going to be a thing until players are tired of their new toys and go back to running meta loadouts, at which point we’re going to be in deep crap, kh31 will make top tier even more miserable if nothing gets changed.
