Of course not, nor do I claim it to be this stop all magical element. However it must have a fairly drastic effect on KE rounds or they wouldn’t have bothered putting it on the turret cheeks

Lol that is true however they could get the same effect with simple high carbon steel, why would they bother with such a potentially toxic metal like DU?
DU is heavier but offers ~1.5x the ME while High carbon steel also suffers from not rly doin much against heat (while DU climbs to 3x ME (!))

Yeah but the cheeks were already immune to any heat thrown at it. And outside of a few NATO rounds there’s nothing that could pen them. Why would they bother with DU at all if the shattering effect wasn’t fairly significant.

Relying on enemies being worse than you at aiming isn’t a good strategy, cause at some point better players will be in better tanks.

There are dozens of posts showing under-BR’d vehicles, and zero posts where the majority are Soviet.
