Aggressive T-90s are some of the easiest to kill tanks in game.
If the Strv 122 in that video has at least 1-2 braincells functioning a smoke wouldn’t have saved the T-90M in that situation.

In your particular case by running more perpendicular to the street you came from and immediately turning left, using your forward speed to get away once you realized the shot was missed. Plenty of room you had between you and that building.
Note that you also over extended because you did not stop to check the corner
In other situations, you’d have picked, someone would have been waiting for you, but the NERA could have decided to eat the round fired at your side or driver port
In one case you get punished for making a mistake, in the other you get rewarded for yolo pushing a corner without a second thought
That’s my main issue with T-tanks, they don’t reward cautious and thought out gameplay. Just hold W, hope it sticks, exactly the way you peeked that corner (and you’re far from heing the only t-series player doing it)
If you’re facing a T-55AMD frontally in a T114 in the first place then something went wrong on your end
