Maus was removed from the German Tech tree for being “hard to balance” by Gaijin’s own statement, I don’t see why this can’t be the same case. Also the tech tree BMPT’s problem specifically is that it has a 5 man crew that are significantly spaced apart with spall liners and double stacked overperforming Relikt ERA that eats side darts for breakfast
If the Su-30SM is a bit too strong for 14.3 than rhe F-15C GE is a bit too strong for 14.3 as well.

The Su-30SM2 is significantly better than the Rafale by a wide margin and I’m tired of people pretending these two aircraft are even close or that the Su-30SM2 is worse; the Su-30SM2 is the best jet currently playable in Air RB and undoubtably in Air SB.
The Su-30SM2 can do BVR the Rafale cannot, the Su-30SM2 can shoot it’s missiles while notching the Rafale cannot, The Su-30SM2 can use are maximum of 14 missiles the Rafale cannot. The MICA-EM is better than the R-77-1 in 20km but that’s assuming the Rafale even made it to 20km with the Su-30SM2 Iron doming incoming MICAs while pushing closer to the Rafale that is forced to constantly play defensively.

There is also a reason why the F-15C GE has almost double the K/D and K/S of the Su-30SM last month. And no, that reason is not because US mains are better at the game.

I don’t know man, it seems rather than bein straight up better it looks like Su-30Sm has worse stats due to bein used in GRB significantly more.
And if we take a look at global stats Su-30SM still holds the edge despite having 16 more times games on its name.
I’d say they are quite balanced and I don’t think GE is better than SM in current mm.

Oh I fully agree. The post I replied to initially called the Su-30SM a bit too strong for 14.3 and implied that the 15C GE is worse than it, but imo you can’t move the Su-30SM to 14.7 while leaving the F-15C GE at 14.3.
Either keep both at 14.3 (and move the J-15T down, please help that thing) or move both to 14.7 (seeing as the J-15T is already there).

Moving current SM to 14.7 is pointless because SM2 already sits in there.

Oh im absolutetly aware why Gaijin uses selective realism like that its just that i think using selective realism to balance the game in this way will lead to massive problems later on. And additionally if Gaijin is using selective realism as a standard balance measure then they could at least extend that courtesy to all tech trees and not just their favourite one.
Id also like for them to just play with an open hand and straight up say that they have to artificially buff russian equipment so its competetive just to see the rusmains cope and seethe.

I would say the only big russian bias we have right now is still the bmpt and the SPAA’s. Tunguska at 10.7 is still crazy. Same with S1 at 12.0

In my post I said the Su-30SM2 would be 15.0 and Su-30SM would be 14.7 (hypothetical decompression)
The gap would still to be too low.
SM2 should be at least 15.3 alongside with other top tiers if 14.3’s will be placed at 14.7.
