Russian Bias in 2025?

As I wrote before, this is something that happens to all tanks to a greater or lesser extent. I also tell you that both the 60mm and 76mm cannons of the Rooikat are possibly the two most garbage cannons that exist in terms of damage, being something obscene how a 30mm APDS has much more spall. In fact, I am now playing frequently with the Rooikat and it is curious the number of shots in the center of the tanks and I only kill the loader or commander, without breaking the barrel or shooter, in other words, ridiculous and unreal damage.

I’ll correct myself. There is one thing that has Russian bias, and that is the protection of Western ERA and NERA tanks, which are all rubbish and primarily serve to make Western tanks overweight.

Totally agree with you, with russian tanks is far more common such bizzar incidents im telling this from the first time, its all about the frequency . As you said ‘’ in greater or lesser extent it happens to all tanks’’ but this unequality creates an aspect of ‘‘russian bias’’ and ofcourse it is something that should be corrected so that it doesn’t happen to anyone.

I agree once more with you …here you describe a different aspect of ‘‘Russian bias’’ …are you sure that there isnt ''Russian bias ‘’ afterall in the game lol …? ( i am joking)

I really don’t understand why the devs are putting those armors down so badly. There are already accepted reports about the Brenus and Romor armor, then there are reports about the Challenger’s side armor, etc. The biggest problem of the devs is the neglect of the tank models that have been in the game for a while and still have not bothered to correct them, for example the Centurion AVRE is missing the 44mm frontal armor, the M48, M60 and their derivatives are missing the volumetric mantlet in the same way that it was put on the M60A1 and A3, and so we could continue infinitely talking about bugs that are not corrected and that have been going on for years. I also mention bugs that harm Russia, that the 100mm 3BM25 and the 115mm 3BM21 do not have the correct penetration at 60º, and that the armor of the T-55AM-1, T-55AMD and T-62M1 should be somewhat better.

According to tank’s silhouette its a leo2pl and it was just an unlucky shot , no magic there

The Finnish Hornet has 1280 BOL and 120 normal countermeasures.

Aussie Hornet has 640 BOL and 60 normal countermeasures no?

yea the AF/A-18 gets 640 BOL, didnt realise the finnish one can blot out the sun with chaff that hard

Dude I came off playing the Fox with the Rarden 30mm, and played my Aubl-74 HVG more, and noticed the 30mm almost had 40% more spall for… some reason…?

But again, if I was in my abrams, I know it would’ve gone through, or my Leo.

The random non pens have been the greatest for me playing on my Soviet tanks, even though soviet tanks typically have been angle pen.

What? Among the most advanced damage models that take a computer network to calculate in 10 seconds would still likely see that as a bounce.

Computer limitations will always exist, but that’s no reason to blame the code for accepting most people won’t have >$3000 computers let alone multi-CPU systems for fast enough physics calculations.

Don’t hit tracks, don’t hit roof armor, don’t hit overlapping plates and your rounds perform exactly as you want them to.

So you’re telling me that the impact failures are simply due to the players’ computers? That would be interesting, because more than 8 years ago, and with me having a much worse computer, these problems occurred much less than they do now.

And on flat plates, and sloping plates with nothing in front of them, it happens on all types of armor. Also, if you have to try to avoid boxes, tracks, and fenders so that a bullet can do damage, then something is wrong.

So you aimed better in your past than you do now…
How is that relevant?
These limitations were always present in War Thunder. They’re present in all software that simulates armor and penetration.

Software needs to be able to run on systems that the average person has.
Supporting $500 - $1000 computers is a good business decision, and still more than what Arma could ever do.

I’ve only ever avoided the things I’ve mentioned.
Roof armor will always bounce rounds as they do IRL.
Tracks may continue to bounce rounds even if they get detailed damage models rather than lower modifiers.
And overlapping plates will just end the 1200+mm protections.

Yes, it’s because I went blind, and my guide dog plays for me.

It is relevant that this did not happen continuously before.

It will depend on the angle of the roof and the chances of the bullet ricocheting.

If the tracks generate ricochets, then the developers should eliminate that possibility and that’s it, simply that the tracks have the corresponding mm of steel and that’s it. Apart from that, the idea that a 400mm penetration bullet, when ricocheting off a tracks, loses all penetration is quite a fantasy; depending on the angle at which it impacts, it would lose more or less penetration, deviating more or less, but not disappearing, and even less so if the chains are made of steel.

One of the wonders brought about by volumetric armor. A 10mm horizontal plate can be 2000mm long, of course, but it doesn’t take into account that upon impact, bullets deflect, seeking the area of least resistance, causing them to exit through the sides of the armor.

It does get better for sure lol I pretty much retired from top tier before the addition of new multi-vehicle SPAAs and decided to give it another try, things have gotten better for someone who wants to play tanks, also M247 sitting along with CLAWs is probably one of the strongest shield I’ve ever witnessed lol

Unlikely. I have had similar random bounces in my Abrams or Leos.

People don’t talk about it a lot, but the Leo 2 side is also a volumetric shitshow.

maybe people wouldn’t have such an issue with ruzzian bias if they stop giving them bullshit buffs for equipment like the LMUR being fucking 70m/s than it should be.

This is the average speed.

Really, so the CM502KG has to have its speed capped at .6 because how? That’s also the average speed, the CM502KG literally has material saying it can go .85 Mach, and yet it’s capped to the minimum average speed because it isn’t Ruzzian

If you have such irrefutable evidence, then why didn’t you make a bug report?
