No they dont, T-80u is a litteral point and click expirience for abrams and leos , goes through upper front plate like butter lol, shell spalling doesnt matter when you physically cannot 1 shot a leo from the front, while you get 1 shot in 3 places from the front by any other tank in the game
Leopard 2A6-2A5 are literally super easy to kill, atleast T-Series get an upenetrable hull that stops every incoming threat, most nations do not have that luxury.
And let’s not start about the copium side armor.
This will surely be a civil thread that intelligently discussed the strengths and weaknesses of western and eastern MBTs.
Surely this thread wouldn’t be full of nato mains with no experience playing the tanks they are talking about.
I can’t speak for top tier, but I’ve always found them quite easy to kill. The lfp is an easy one shot most of the time, and the turrets of certain ones are quite weak.
How are these russian mains complaining when for literal YEARS they have had a near unstoppable top tier lineup, with multiple very strong MBTs and the most oppressive air dominance and CAS presence only up until the last couple of updates, honestly it’s too bad that they are ‘suffering’ now since they have had ages to lavish in the OPness of the T-series tanks
Have you tried to aim at the lfp or anywhere near the cannon?
Calling a hull impenetrable because you don’t aim for where you can pen it is not a good take.
Not really, gotta keep in mind original doctrine. Soviet tank doctrine was, move fast, be swift in your actions, and die if you have to.
Russian tanks aren’t bad in any respect, but when using them wrong, they aren’t good (cough cough T-90M getting boned from the front by a 30 bushmaster)
if you shoot anything else than the breach its a skill issue on your side.
and btw. russian mbts can tank 500+ apfsds on their side armor.
take a abrams or leo or stv and shoot t-80u hull please you will be surprised, the “unpenetrable hull” can be 1 shot in drivers hatch and lower front plate, meanwhile if u pen a hull of a western tank its not a 1 shot
The Idea behind most of the T-series production examples was good enough mobility combined with a low profile to minimise detection instead of tanking shots, whereas NATO MBTs have an emphasis on being in a hull down defensive position with good sightlines to engage form afar, in turn having strong turret faces and great FCS systems, these lines have blurred as of late since the russians have began upgrading the mobility and FCS of their MBTs while NATO nations have began adding stronger hull armour and modernizing the overall survivability so they are more versatile.
I have an 11 year old brother, and you can guess where that goes. I don’t give a shit about k/d so I be a nice older brother and let him play.
with angleing of course, because of the extra armour on side skirts but if you shoot that your throwing anyway when you can shoot breach and get a 1 shot kill, shoot lower front plate guaranteed 1 shot kill, shoot drivers hatch guranteed 1 shot kill
real and true ! so do i
Most of the Leopards use darts designed specifically for penetrating the K5 and hull of the T-80U, in fact you are lucky that NATO mbts haven’t received more competitive rounds since DM53 is a 90s shell and it’s a similar story for the american and swedish/israeli equivalents
shows about how much you know about modern MBT armour lol
Except in my case it is true. I play the game for fun, and letting said little brother play too doesn’t matter, as I don’t care.
Everyone knows that a common way to kill the BVM and T-90M is to shoot the area between the front armour and track, kills all the crew at virtually any angle, takeaway from this: DO NOT ANGLE AT TOP TIER
When did i say I angle what?? your just putting words in my mouth or your english comprehention is at a first grade level
EVERY, SINGLE, TANK, at top tier, needs to aim for weakspots
Abrams > Turret Ring, Breach, LFP
Leopards > Breach, LFP, ~Turret Ring
Russia > Driver’s Port, LFP, Breach
Chally > LFP, Breach, Drivers Port
Japan > Whole Tank (almost)
China > LFP, Driver Port, Breach (i forgot)
Italy > Whole Tank
France > Basically Whole Tank
Sweden > LFP, Breach, ~Turret Ring
Israel > ~Most of the Tank
And all this is coming from personal experience, while being not the best player too, Russian MBT’s are quite easy to use.
Maybe you have short term memory loss, idk i’m not the one to shame on those topics but you did indeed claim angling is effective ‘because of the side skirts’
