Didn’t a lot of these high kd ppl play back in the day where ai bots were on teams for free kills?
Yeah that seems like a weird take, or an attempt to project WW2 german philosophy onto modern vehicles.
If anything I get the impression that the Leopard is basically the baseline for NATO tanks, the most straightforward and basic of them all, that’s why it’s so highly adopted around the world.
In response to OP,
lmao
yeah it is pretty basic and that’s what makes it so good at exports, you arent getting something overly expensive but not something bad either its a decent tank that its really easy to modify due to its relative simplicity wich means that you can have a more custom tank to your needs or well your country’s needs take as an example Chile wich altough being a country with not much money bought Leopard 2A4’s and still have them in service and now they are planning to upgrade them
Cry me a river about “muh no gun depression”. It’s not the huge disadvantage people think it is. If you have the slightest bit of map knowledge then the lower gun depression become negligable since you just play around how the terrain is.
All it does is make it so certain spots can’t be / are harder to use, you can’t just scream -4 degrees whenever someone points out that russian tanks perform quite good in this game. You’re a walking case of skill issue. Learn the maps and use that to your advantage.
In my opinion, the Russian MBTs balance their subpar gun depression with their incredibly small and compact size along with their great turret armour. They can utilize smaller obstacles to hide their hulls as well as slight mounds in terrain, and their turret armour can keep them well protected. These bonuses aren’t a luxury to many other MBTs faced within the top tier bracket, say for the Leopards and maybe the Abrams for their turret armour. They must utilize their terrain in different ways such as looking for larger objects to hide their hulls behind or constantly adjusting behind a hill to get the best of their gun’s depression while still under cover. Sometimes their stats are stacked against them, such as the Leclerc or Merkava, both huge targets with subpar turret protection and gun depression.
p.s. I only have experience in the Merkava series of tanks, so I may be wrong in some aspects due to a lack of experience in the tanks mentioned, but thats my personal opinion on the matter.
It absolutely is a huge disadvantage
No shit sherlock, it’s what you have to do
Yes bro, im such a bad player.
Having to play around the low depression is a disadvantage. It prevents you from using spots/safely going places that you could normally go. I know it isn’t a top tier example, but using the t-34-85 on anything remotely hilly is incredibly annoying since you constantly have to make adjustments due to the depression.
Just because you say it isn’t a disadvantage, doesn’t mean it isn’t one.
Not everyone spends GE to ace their crews. On average, Russian reloads are better than other reloads. French and Japanese tanks have 3 crew as well. fights are CQC knife fights depression doesn’t matter. Russians have spall liners.
Or playing many match to get ace crew
Expert overall is 6.4 sec that need leadership max out too
T-80 is 6.5 sec without spending expert or max leadership
Russians get 5 advantages over other nations while they get two disadvantages.
1- Bad reverse speed (that’s how it is in real life)
2- Bad gun depression (that’s how it is in real life)
Depends on the BR.
Also what 5 advantages do they have? They don’t have the survivability, gun handling or reload speed to compete with nato tanks at nearly any BR. They do generally have stronger armour, but the moment anything can pen the ufp, they’re dead.
Better survivability than most nations.
Better speed moving forward (stock t80 can outrun a spaded 2A6)
Very small spall (specially the object 292)
ERA overperforming on Russian tanks which can stop a Maverick (according to Gaijin)
Side armor that’s on the T72B3,T90M,T80BVM that eat shells for dinner.
The autoloader that now (thanks to gaijin) acts like a spall liner eating any shells that can hit the ammo.
And i can state more and more.
For context I am speaking from a lower BR perspective and a top tier one.
- I find most Russian vehicles easy to kill
- I don’t believe that they are more mobile
- Aren’t mavericks bugged/bad or something like that?
- Aim better and you’ll get more kills
- However, damaging the auto loader prevents it from fighting back.
For the videos, that second one was a poor shot. You hit too far forward so it just went in between every important bit.
Getting shot like that in Russian tanks case should send turret flying not just aren’t able to fight back
So inaccurate modelling, that armor cannot stop anything in real life, even artillery can easily remove it, one shot from an APFSDS should remove the side armor and the rest of the armor next to it.
+Damaging the autoloader would prevent it from dying in one shot, i guess that’s why they decided to model the autoloader not to make things more realistic but to give T-series a second chance.
lol, play the conway and then you will see what “no gun depression” is. and it’s the russians own fault for making their tanks as short as possible and cramping everything and the crew members into a 1x1x1m box…
According to the wiki, it has -5 just like nearly every other Russian tank.
and how tall is the Conway? Russian tanks don’t need to look down when they are on flat ground because they are already at bollock height. The Conway can’t even aim down if an opponent face hugs it.
7.0 veichle vs 11.7, what did they mean by this
You take 1 tank and call it OP, look at t90m speed, I can say UK faster than germany based on 1 tank as well
Tell that to Leo fuel tank eating eat shells for breakfast
Show me how it cant stop a maverik
Just shoot the tracks lol, Skill issue
Autoloader makes you reload slower, and completely stops you from reloading when damaged, while a gunner can reload on his own just slower
I can state more
