The description of the X-4 says that the acoustic fuse only works for the B-17, but will it work? XD
I explained it bruh B17 was the most common target it can hit anything that makes noise it just has to get closer on quieter engines

i see a lot of people dont know how the missile works.
the missile is primarily MCLOS wire/radio guided for the initial phase.
after what i assume is the start of input into the acoustic detector of the missile, the detector automatically guides itself into the source of the sound.
the acoustic fuse then triggers when it reaches a certain amplitude of sound (hence distance to target) and damages the target.
the late stage acoustic automatic guidance is mostly because pilots cannot make precise adjustments to the missiles flight path when at lnoger ranges and when the tracer on the rear of the missile might block the view of the target

Where did you read that this missile has automatic terminal guidance? From all sources I saw, it’s closer to AA.20 but with a bad proximity fuse. No terminal automatic guidance, and an acoustic proximity fuse that is tuned specifically for the sound of the (more accurately the doppler shift of the missile passing by the) B-17’s engines. Aircraft engines of significantly higher or lower pitch will have different characteristics that make attacking them with this weapon improbable.
Well, they’re giving you people a bone when they could’ve added the AAM-A-1 to the F-82/Copypasta DF-82 that is a real missile that blows this thing out of the water by a long shot. Actual proximity fuse, much longer range and true active radar guidance for terminal stage of flight. And it’s not an event vehicle. That’s a lot better than what Japan, France and Italy get for their prop tier stuff.

Destroying bombers is a niche in WT and specialized weapons aren’t necessary with how overturned gun damage is.

V1 was at least partially built in Germany before the war ended lol
So it has some unknown terminal guidance system that is mentioned in one source and one source only, then.
