Why did you make such a stupid thread? Play as the UK and you won’t have to worry.

Very unfortunate performance from the British.

Not everyone in the game is playing as the UK.

Your answer is suggesting a human manned crew member is exposed to gun fire.

I agree, crew members should be modeled to fire roof top machine guns.

No it does not.
Butr reading is not your stronges suit. nothing is

No they should not

I take it English is not your first language?

was manually truned up to the QUADRUPLE mount

Your words man

“Why don’t I play the UK who have no roof top machine guns”

How would this resolve my main complaint that rooftop machine guns are too strong?

If other nations will still have their rooftop machine guns then they will remain an issue to deal with. I can not force everyone to play Britain who lacks rooftop machine guns in most cases.

and where do I say that it needs to be modeled with a crew member?

Manualy turned can be via a crank shaft and so on.
Like manually only states that whaever is turning is is human muscle and not electricity. It does not in any way shape or form indicate the direct presence of a human on the handle.
The IS 7 MG is manually operated as well but does not require anyone to be outside. It is manually operated from within the turret.

The system is fine as is. No need to mak eit more complex and risk even more bugs. Simplification is fine in this instance

Yeah…like I said.

Why are you dribbling on about the speed of roof mounted MGs in a game with zero infantry in it? Not a human to be seen outside a vehicle? How realistic is that? We have a nation who never went to war (Sweden) we have modern tanks Vs WW2 in the American desert or Sun City SA and you are quibbling over the speed the invisible soldiers turn a machine gun?

You’re stating that it could be turned that fast IRL. That’s half the issue.

If they could be turned that fast IRL, they’d still be manned with crew members. The issue remains, rooftop machine guns are too strong.

I’m not asking for realism I’m asking for balance.

For tanks yes.

It leaves helicopters with zero counterplay in close combat with tanks as no maneuvering beats instant rotation.

It is balanced

I disagree.

The USA lost 5000 helicopters during the Vietnam war, if you think you gunna rock up blaring fortunate son and kill 4 tanks untouched you might wanna read what happened irl to helicopters that encountered small arms fire.

How many of those were to tank machine guns?
