I don’t think that’s from a pressure wave I think it’s from fragmentation
T64a
Which doesn’t happen in game either
You didn’t answer my question.
I never brought up arcade.
Stop detailing this and answer my question.
Roof mgs are fine how they are no. There is no reason to nerf them.
They are overtly strong against low flying helicopters.
I see no wrong things about it
Yes it has nothing wrong with it if you wish for them to remain in their present state.
They should stay like that
I disagree.
Because You can’t have an easy game? Ok
“easy game” sounds like I’m asking for rooftop machine guns to be removed, I’m not
Mate I already disproved that claim. At this point you are OPENLY AND KNOWINGLY LYING.
Good.
I don’t see an issue with that.
No.
Yes we disagree.
I dont mind the speed in which they turn, I mind the extreme angles they can shoot at that if a real body was behind them would be impossible. These weapons were not for shooting planes and helicopters and wouldnt be able to hit the broadside of a barn if they were.
The other issue I have is if you can shoot from roof machine guns then your crew should be exposed to be machine gunned as well. The SARC 6pdr is a good example with the roof mounted .50. You can kill vehicles from behind cover because the game treats it like an unmanned turret but its not. Crew should be modeled and exposed when guns are in use.
Most did become purpose to kill low flying attack helicopters in the 60s / 70s / 80s
It’s why the AMX-30 ended up with a 20mm coax
I think the speed should be decided by the skill level of the crew controlling it.
Yes this could be a half solution that would work alongside targeting as turret traverse already does
No they didn’t. The AMX may be an exception but “most” still were not designed for this. Just because you can point one at a helicopter does not mean it was designed for it nor effective. Roof top guns remain for infantry.
Combined arms doctrine and armor theory also contradict this. It’s why we see IFV, SPAA, and other support vehicles within mixed operations.
