The R-77-1 rocket breaks the antipode.
I was flying close to the ground and the rocket flying from above hit the center of the plane.
It looks like some kind of bug, please fix it.
I dont see the problem
U are not close to the ground u need to be under 60m and u are on 170
A fox-3 coming from an high aspect (or even almost perpendicular) has a high chance of just ignoring multipath, plus in the second screen you are at 170 meters (RALT), way above multipath level
Ok, thanks. I didn’t know about 60m.
Even low down if that is lofted up in the air it will likely hit you even if you are trying to multipath.
Even if I was flying below 60m, would it have hit me?
It could have yes, or the splash damage from the missile could have damaged you.
In that sitiation you would be best trying to change direction multiple times while multipathing and dropping chaff.
The lower u get the more is harder for the missile
if the missile is coming from directly above it still is going to hit you
because to hit the ghost target below you the missile has to fly through you
and like stated before you werent flying low enough for multipathing to work
Maneuverability skills, mix of flares and chaffs under 60 m is a good way to avoid ARH missiles, one of the very few tactics I know and I use when I play the Su-33.
Best way to multipath is to stay close to the ground yet not too close to get splash damaged. Flying at 0 meters over the ground will not save you.
At 170m Multipathing wont do anything because that starts at 60m
and from high AoA, missiles generally will still kill despite Multipathing
