[RoadMap] Following the Roadmap: Construction of Objects and Trenches for some Vehicles

well, maybe it never happen exactly because devs never make it happer, never make mechanics for that and so on.

I love enlisted more cuz there i can cover a tank and tank can help me capture point. Its like that meme:

Teamwork is always better than just a multiplayer game that feels like single player with npcs around.

While a supply drop would definitely be more fitting, I believe the point of having them be constructed is so they aren’t ‘request and forget’.
Tho if they made it so you actually have to fly the transport plane or heli yourself and manually drop the supplies that would be very cool.

I’m in all for the first two mechanics, being able to build ammunition boxes and camo nets are useful features.

However, “trenches and mounds” seem extremely situational for the current ground fast phased meta (not to mention the abysmally small maps where this will never work), I feel like it will be DOA just like self entrenching shovels, as standing still for any period of time will guarantee you will get taken out, either be waiting for the entrenching process to happen or by CAS.

I’d much rather see another mechanic added instead, like squad rally points, allowing squad leaders to build rally spawn points in strategic places. Or better yet, bigger and better maps.

IFV/APC support mechanics is better, imo. With a possibility for more harmless but with big cargo capacity/speed vehicles.

This too, I feel like IFVs and APCs should be able to resupply teammates with crew or ammo

Gaijin really needs to reward team play more
But sadly that would also cause people to abuse the system Imagine if you could get 500sl for repairing a friendly

People could just side scape in a Maus or something else. Then get the track’s destroyed get repaired and repeat

Well, we have winches and they actually went out of their way to let everyone help with repairing (if they have the mod unlocked, that is) instead of just letting light tanks and CEVs do that job.
Yet I still get moments where nobody around me bothers to help with repairing or fire fighting (for some reason this also happens a lot more when I am using stock vehicles) and well, I can’t remember anyone ever helping me when I was stuck somewhere

I don’t see people until it’s to late(fire)or I don’t have parts or fpe unlocked

Like you can choose a load same as for ammo.

Its ammo boxes or crew members, and you can’t use your own ammo/crew members, but you can help teammates. For a teamwork.

And you can replenish that cargo load on strategic points, so, in some like, clan battles there will be apcs running from points to fronts to help teammates live.

Maybe even a return of 1 crew member to live mechanic. Like your last crew member is a gunner. And you can J to leave your vehicle or wait til apc/ifv comes to your request and replenishes your crew.

And sometimes, very rarely, a helicopter just lands somewhere and organises a replenish point, lol.

Ah, sweet dreams that have “passed to developers” flag on russian forum, but devs dont care…

Don’t do anything. FIX THE BUGS.

Bugs in a gaijin game? Doesn’t exist same has cheaters /s

They are fixing bugs but they get new bugs and old ones come back like the third person thermals and Direct hit bombs doing no damage

I Wonder if the Magnetic bombs come back at some Point (drive over bombs and they will follow you around)

Absolutely man, I’d much rather see a “Light vehicles having the ability to replenish crew” rather than self entrenching.

It should work exactly like requesting for repairs or FPE, when a nearby teammate on an IFV is around they get notified of your request, and you can go aid them. That would be 10x better than wasting your time building a trench.

Light vehicles already get scouting, artillery, the airstrike modification, and the huge meta-defining ability to influence matches with their mobility. For the love of god, let some other vehicle classes get something once every few years 😁 TDs and SPAAs are by far the most neglected ground vehicle classes in the game, and have needed help for ages.

You know what other classes get?

Firepower and armour. Do you really think that a tank should have a support mechanic? Or a Damage-dealer (artillery/spg) should have a support mechanic?

I think only support should get support. And who has no armour and nearly to no firepower? Apcs and ifvs. Not like “all light vehicles” just the ones that had crew bays.

Sadly I can’t see the Ozelot getting crew replenishment

APCs and certain IFVs could get reclassed as support vehicles with different modifications/abilities.

I even would rather play as full support on some specific IFV’s that had only like, single browning and thats it. But they had a better cargo bay and lower profile/better speed.

As vehicles that you can call/spawn in like the planes in arcade battles maybe, but not as TT vehicles

Well, possibilities and variants are infinite, but devs wants SPGs to have their own single-use resupply point. :/

And for some reason SPGs have to build camo nets and trenches… lmao.

Oh wait, just realised, they will build them for themselves. Purely un-teamplay mechanic.

Bush warriors on the edge of a map but 2.0, now with trenches, ammo boxes and camo nets.

Light vehicles in WT are really usually not firepower-deficient. As for armour, that’s sort of the point, it’s way more situational than mobility. You can play around lack of armour by not being hit and being careful, but you can’t similarly mitigate lack of mobility with gameplay. And since WT is a game about capturing points, where the meta is getting to power positions early, mobility is always more important.

To this you should add the fact that usually, TDs are turretless and have awful targeting speed. Sometimes very long reloads as well. They don’t usually capture points first, they don’t get you easily into CAS…

Currently the game doesn’t really make that distinction. A light is a light. If you want IFVs and APCs to gain a “support mechanic” in exchange for losing a mechanic that “proper” light tanks have, I’m all for it.

When it comes to TDs and SPAAs however,

You’re thinking about it from a “neat and orderly” external perspective, and from that POV it doesn’t make much sense, since the focus of TDs should be killing stuff.

However, WT is a game, and not even just any game like say Flames Of War, but an MMO shooter. So I look at it through the lens of, what do these vehicle classes need?

SPAAs need to be able to resupply without having to stare down tanks to get to a capture point. Their job is to engage planes, that’s what they should focus on and they need help doing that.

TDs will need to frequently relocate anyway because they’re usually more visible than a concealed SPAA from the air, but once again not having to rush to a capture point with a vehicle that is slow and turretless will make them a bit more flexible, which is welcome. And the ability to go hull down anywhere, while unfortunately not very useful on a lot of CQC maps, can definitely make your TD life easier on occasion. This is especially true for ATGM carriers.
