but not in game
Especially when you have invisible gnomes digging for you, as shown in the post
Yea that’s very sus
I’ve got an idea for the next update. While you’re camping with the crate, you’re playing “Fun Farm” or “candy crush"
Actually you gave me an Idea instead of having camo walls how about camo roofs against air and drones
also stupid as for game
Tank destroyers are usually designed to fight defensively anyway. Them having this mechanic helps them perform their intended role. God knows they needed a little boost, they’ve been neglected for a long time, not just by Gaijin but by the community too.
As for SPAAs, they don’t always have the option to go to a capture point. Giving them more staying power against aircraft with ammo resupply is great. An AA that’s rushing a friendly cap to resupply and focusing on not dying is an AA not watching the sky.
Should be more ammo to make it boom like a decent bomb. Players will like having more ammo to spend.)
It’s …not though? Tankers don’t put separate camo nets in FRONT of the tank. On TOP, sure. We’re not duck hunters.
I agree TDs and ATGM carriers in particular needed some love. I think adding terrain deformation to them at a slower rate than dozer blades give you is not actually a bad idea, but by itself likely won’t have much impact.
I would prefer camo nets be on top or above the TD/SPAA, not a little wall in front of it. (If it’s in front they should just give them all a free bunch of bushes then, as that would be more realistic.) And ammo boxes should probably not be create-able directly on your own spawn by the MLRS and artillery TDs or I think it’ll slow the early game down and privilege indirect fire more than people might anticipate. There’s reasons we limit arty from shelling the other spawn right at the start of the game and this would seem to work against those mechanics (also imagine when you spawn in in a light or open top vehicle and the ammo box someone left behind in spawn explodes before you can move out… that’ll be annoying too). But I could be wrong though.
EDIT: Since no one’s said it yet, I do think it’s good to still be putting these things to actual player polls, however it’s implemented. Still a very positive thing, that.
Yes plis I need something fresh and usefull
This has probably been asked already but is the 6x3m camo net destructible? If so will it have the “hp” of a regular bush (one shot from an MG being enough to take it down) or will it need more/larger rounds?
What are you talking about? Most of planes on midtier have on average 3 bomb drops, and even though they can be easily killed by invulnerable 70 SP spaa, unkillable gunner on roof mg or other planes.
Btw, these changes just support camping and passive gameplay even more.)
Useless. Games are too fast. No one use bulldoser blade and no one will use this mechanics. The only useful thing is more ammo for spaa.
Minecraft.
This is a can of worms. Consider not opening it.
I’m all hearts for these features however please animate them.
It would be cool to see your tank crew getting out of the vehicle to construct these posts. However, unless the vehicle is destroyed then the trench or whatever remains is completed.
Besides this why not resurrect the old 2015 concept of fully destructible structures? With some structures being far stronger than others. Such as concrete. Could help reduce lack since it won’t magically fall apart as quickly and may take far more time. I’d say it would be a perfect time to reintroduce it.
but lag
They most likely won’t animate the crew leaving your tank. Heck, we don’t even have animations for the loaders doing their job on open tops
Why complicate stuff, will it end like amazing dozer blades nobody uses to dig? or remember time when tanks could be run by one crew member switching from driving to shooting?
I like new stuff for games but why not just add option for ammo refill and repair on spawn?
Maybe on cooldown or just one two uses per match for ground units, if you worried about those sitting in back or sniping vehicles or spaa tha mostly sit on spawn anyway, and its safe on spawn.
Sure there are some slooooow vehicles, but still i would rather get back on safe spawn and do it there, if spawn is overtaken by enemy game is probably lost anyway.
Ok stupid idea, make new researchable consumable that calls to base that is invisible and brings you ammo on truck also invisible, you just press button and lets say after short time you get ammo loaded and consumable is on cooldown, and to shorten cooldown or how fast they come you just invest some crew points in newly created section for this, or add it to radio operator crew skill.
Ok, and this isn’t 2015/2016 anymore. So if Gaijin were to reintroduce this thought they could since they have the tools at their disposal now and can make a more refined version of the idea without causing significant amounts of lag. A prime example is Advance Into The Rhine lack on that map doesn’t happen as much compared to when it did far back then where a single bomb could almost crash your game, it isn’t just your frames.
I know. Would be nice though.
