Description: The FR11 was an Italian cruiser of the Second World War, originally made for France. In the late twenties, the French Navy ordered a new class of light cruiser developed from the already existing Emilè Bertin class in order to counter the increasing number of threats from the Mediterranean Sea. Jean De Vienne was the third unit of the class, and by 1937 she was completed and delivered to the French navy. During the second world war, she didn’t see much action, and when the French armistice occurred, she was docked in Algeria. After the French armistice, Jean de Vienne and her cruiser squadrone were moved to Toulon after the British had tried to negotiate their entry in the British Force H battlegroup, but without success. She remained there for some time until she left the dock to join the French High Seas naval group, even if she didn’t see any action even on that occasion. Before 1942, she was also used as a rescue ship to save the crew and the passengers of the liner Lamoniciere, who sunked near the Balearic island. When the French Navy was scuttled in Toulon in 1942, like most of the other warships, she and her cruiser group were docked in the city’s port. After receiving instructions to scuttle his cruiser, the captain decided to block the dockyard with the cruiser hull. The Germans tried to prevent this, but they weren’t fast enough. After the French peacetry in November 1942, the Jeanne de Vienne and some other French ships were assigned to Italy as war prizes. In early 1943, works started on the newly named FR11, which was incorporated into the Regia Marina. On February 18, 1943, the ship was raised, and the works began shortly after. When she was completed at the 85%, she was ready to be towed to Genoa in order to receive final repairs. The crew was from the sunk Trieste heavy cruiser and was ready to embark on the new unit as soon as possible. But on September 8, the Italian armistice occurred, and the ship was blocked by the Germans. In the end, it was destroyed by an Allied bomb raid and scrapped in 1952.

Unless Italy is in bad need for a light cruiser (imo Italy is fine) I would prefer each nation to keep their unique vichles. Dont turn navy in to ground forces where every nation has their ‘‘leopard’’.

Could be a cool premium (allowing italian ships to go to the techtree instead of premiums)

copy paste/captured/donated ships are alredy very common in naval battles, this one is no different.
