Ripple fire mode and CCRP

Right now the players who do not use the weapon selection system have access to a mode to release (shotgun) all equipped bombs at the same time, while those who use weapon selection are locked into specific numbers of drops, those being 2, 4, 8, and 16, with another mode that drops everything continuously as long as you hold the trigger.

There should be another ripple quanitity that allows to drop everything all at once, without using series mode. Series mode drops the ordnance in a line, while dropping everything at once allows for focused damage on something like a runway or a specific airfield module if you play air simualtor mode, or even a base. One advantage of using weapon selection mode is that it allows variable bomb series mode “inside an ongoing the battle” without being locked to the one that you chose before the spawning in.

We need more than just the age old quantity presets that we have in the game and more importantly we need a “release all” quantity mode.

What we could use is a “Ripple Interval” button

So “S” salvo quantity still drops everything, but with another button to set the interval to 0s, 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.3s, 0.4s for example

I already in the old forum debated this at length, don’t even remember if the suggestion ever got through.

We definitely need better ripple quantity and ripple interval control, the current system is to restrictive and absolutely unrealistic.

The example I always brought is the Tornado, which can carry 12x 1000-pouners, andso has the firepower to kill 2 bases in one sortie. Due to the current restrictions however, it can only drop 8 bombs in one attack, overkilling the target, and have not enough power with its 4 remaining bombs for the second one:

Another big issue that must be addressed is the delay bewteen bombs of the same class, but different “packages”: Many aircraf have the bombs "packed " in different groups, e.g. the Harriers which carry their 1000-pounders on tandem racks under the wings, and a single one under the fuselage. Now when dropping the whole load, the tanfem racks will dro, then there will be a delay, then the single one drops, having the tendency to fall behind the target, or - annoying in somet ypes like AMX - to not be dropped at all because the delay results the remaining bombs would be dropped after the aircraft has left the CCRP “window”…
