Funny how you’re saying it as if Naval gets all the attention from papa gaijin and ignores Grounds and Air. My brother in christ, just one naval based update and you guys start acting like this. I’ve been seeing lots of reactions like this recently.

Dozens of vehicles to fill up gaps in ground and air TTs.

That is valid, then again, gajin really likes to keep pushing the br ranges upwards before widening the lineups. Gajin also has a particularly poor track record with spaa and bomber (attackers as well to a lesser extent) attention as well.

Again if an outsourced team is in charge of naval assets, how would it affect the speed of the other branches getting stuff? Gajin also had ample time to add plenty of suggested vehicles but some are still in “passed limbo”, to this I’d chalk it up to gajin’s focus on the “latest and greatest” instead of bulking up lower lines.

ha yes, so everyone gets to enjoy the CAS wreck train GRB is

No, i’ll stick to my Richelieu for this patch, thank you very much

Yeah no. This whole idea of removing naval is a non-starter to begin with.

First of all, there’s bluewater and coastal trees. Coastal gameplay is inherently faster-paced than bluewater gameplay (arguably more than ground gameplay in some cases, I would say) and will naturally draw more attention. It would be a shame to remove all of that due to the potential it could bring in the future, as it seems to be a more natural path to modern missile ships. Also, there isn’t any major competitor in terms of PvP coastal gameplay, so it’s ridiculous to give up a stake in something you already have.

Bluewater naval is more problematic with implementation, however, it is not the resource drainer that you claim it is. In fact, one of the major reasons why naval is so problematic is due to the lack of proper development. Naval players can recall all the times when a new mechanic was implemented seemingly without any actual testing. One of the most infamous ones was the Alpha Strike patch, where changes to HE shell fragmentation pretty much broke the entire mode with fragments phasing through armor.

So yeah, unfortunately, getting rid of naval won’t free up a significant amount of development effort. And even if it did, any content creator would know better than to output more content than necessary. If Gaijin is satisfied with the amount of content they’re putting out for air and ground each patch, it would be unlikely that they would change at all.

Gotta give a salute to the US for strapping AA on every small space available on this one

This sums it up perfectly, especially when the vehicles most needed for br gaps in the other modes already have parts within the game (be it hull, weaponry, engine or airframe) and since gajin had plenty of time to add them before (be it the original TT plans or passed suggestios) it’s clear gajin is most likely planning to add it later.

Whatever the case, you’ll have to kill me to force me to play ground, I love ships, and I hate GRB gameplay, imagine crying about new ships being released cause you couldn’t get another copy and pasted Leopard.

Yeah, I tried to get into ground, but its such a mess I dont understand how anyone enjoys it for more than a match or 2.

Ignoring the fact that the number isn’t really correct, there’s one thing that bothers me with this kind of reasoning.

Naval is the least developped of all three modes.

In terms of vehicles first : up until recently, it would be like being stuck with the equivalent of a PZ IV or a T-34, and only this update brings the top of the line and some of the most iconic WW2 ships (Tiger II, IS-2 and pershings of ships, if you will)

In terms of gameplay as well, there is no sidequest, and a severe lack of diversity : no submarines for example, and very few missile, cold war or modern ships. I remember the WW2 sub event being quite appreciated for example, even by non naval players, which shows the potential is here.

I will agree on one point though, naval stands appart from the rest because of one factor : time

everything takes longer, and i can understand why everyone don’t necessarily enjoy longer games.

Judging the game mode in its current state is harsh though, especially considering the potential it still has. An other factor is : ground and air RB (especially ground) have far less potential going forward, as most vehicles have been added, and those who haven’t won’t shift the meta or the gameplay that much (except maybe stealth in ARB)
