Wanted to use Mister AH but I’m afraid the site won’t allow me to.
Not familiar with that part of history, school never taught those.
In short, he caused the Cambodian genocide
Guys guys, calm down. Dont go off topic.
Whatever the case, you’ll have to kill me to force me to play ground, I love ships, and I hate GRB gameplay, imagine crying about new ships being released cause you couldn’t get another copy and pasted Leopard.
Yeah, I tried to get into ground, but its such a mess I dont understand how anyone enjoys it for more than a match or 2.
Ignoring the fact that the number isn’t really correct, there’s one thing that bothers me with this kind of reasoning.
Naval is the least developped of all three modes.
In terms of vehicles first : up until recently, it would be like being stuck with the equivalent of a PZ IV or a T-34, and only this update brings the top of the line and some of the most iconic WW2 ships (Tiger II, IS-2 and pershings of ships, if you will)
In terms of gameplay as well, there is no sidequest, and a severe lack of diversity : no submarines for example, and very few missile, cold war or modern ships. I remember the WW2 sub event being quite appreciated for example, even by non naval players, which shows the potential is here.
I will agree on one point though, naval stands appart from the rest because of one factor : time
everything takes longer, and i can understand why everyone don’t necessarily enjoy longer games.
Judging the game mode in its current state is harsh though, especially considering the potential it still has. An other factor is : ground and air RB (especially ground) have far less potential going forward, as most vehicles have been added, and those who haven’t won’t shift the meta or the gameplay that much (except maybe stealth in ARB)
Here, pass these two around . . . see if it helps . .
thats not French

Again, it would help but naval is nowhere near the time and money drain that’s being insisted it is. Most recent additions have been low tier and small destroyers/boats with exception of the one or two capital ships per update.
A good chunk of needed vehicles already have some or most of the needed components in game as well. While it would still cost some time and money, these should be relatively easy additions that gajin could add as soon as next update, but choose not to.
The point is it’s gajin’s policy (more profit via flashy and recent stuff) which is why some lineups are incomplete, not the existence of naval.

Most of navals problems are how patches are handled, with steps forward and back constantly being taken. Since this ONE update is naval focused, I with several other naval players hope it can at least put the mode in a healthier state. No one’s proclaiming it to be the next big mode, only receiving a increase in attention for ONE update. I seriously don’t understand how shutting down a mode with potential for change, which the Devs are willing to try, would suddenly fix all of airs and grounds problems.
Again, I fail to see naval getting a few editions per update (which quite a few of them share the same hull and in some cases weaponry already in game) through outsourced means correlates into the reason gajin couldn’t fix these bugs.
And no one knows for sure it is a big drain either.
FYI tomorrow there will be a court WoWs vs Russian government so WoWs refuges could start arriving due to results.
I thought that wargaming split off into two separate subsections (although I’m most likely wrong).
No because some people might be more interested in subs or missile ships, i know i would play the mode more if it wasn’t just big guns throwing punches at each other from 15km
big guns is nice, but it could be deversified
yeah so we stop doing anything, since it might not work, then what ?
if we compare it to a mode where there are the oldest to newest planes or tanks, then yes. How is it a fair comparison otherwise ?
Some aren’t and that’s fine, i don’t force them to play naval, so don’t force others to play Ground or Air. Modes are also not exclusive, naval can be great to slow down the pace between 2 games of ground or air RB for example.
I love how this debate is still ongoing, but the fact is Naval has 80 years worth of cruisers, Destroyers, frigates, etc left to add, let alone new classes like Subs and maybe even aircraft Carriers, and we dont have everything from WW2 yet. Britain alone has at least another dozen? Battleships left to be added (including a few refits).
Air and ground have maybe 5ish years left of stuff. there is what, maybe 1 more round of top tier MBTs for most nations?
Naval is going to start getting a lot more content in coming years I think.
Coastal definitely has quite a good chunk to add as well.
(Still shocked UK coastal only has 2 lines still)
Yeah, though they really need to do something with Coastal, if nothing else the grind is rather insane.
