If your eyeballs are “screaming at you” you’d best seek medical assistance.

I will only concede that crashes by GLoc should be awarded as kills, because that is something the dead pilot did to themselves while fighting you. This is also an event in which there is something for the game to track, it knows if the dead guy was conscious or not. If someone catches a tree a couple of miles away from you while lining up a shot on a tank, you don’t deserve anything.

So instead someone should be able to eject 37 times in one battle without you getting any rewards?

A G-lock alone doesn’t solve anything. Also, if you are a kilometer away from the aircraft—which is within cannon range—and the pilot crashes into the ground, it should count as a kill; the same applies if a missile has locked onto that aircraft so it should be counted as kill for plane which fired that missile.

firing every missile before bailing, typical

Kinda does though.

Even if that kilometer is in vertical separation and you are flying in opposite directions, potentially without even being aware of each other? Couple of days ago I “killed” an F-5C that I hadn’t even seen, why do I deserve a kill credit for that?

Just because someone crashes in your general vicinity does not mean that you were a factor in the crash, ergo you deserve nothing. You are not going to convince me otherwise. The only exception that the game has a means of tracking is where someone has G-Loc’d themselves while fighting you.

Probability that someone will crash in your 1 km range without your influence is very low compared to kill denials. But sure, there can be timer that you must be for certain time in range to count that kill. And no, G-loc doesnt solve kill denials.

Ok, that actually sounds reasonable.
Having this or a G-loc as a trigger for validating the “kill” does solve the random awards of “non-kill” kills.

Timer is better option I would say. G-loc solve accidental deaths caused by sharp turns but not kill denials which are more often. Timer can solve both cases.

I was thinking have both implemented and satisfying either condition counts.
If someone blacks themselves out either trying to defend themself or by being too aggressive, then either way its because of fighting someone. Could also kick in in less time than a timer of lets say 10-15 seconds or so.

In the 8 or so years I have been playing this game I can probably count the number of times I have been blatantly, undeniably, no room for question, kill denied on one finger, if I count the questionable times I might need to take of a sock, it was a complete non-issue, sweats just want their free kills, welp I am now obliging them by crashing and saving them their ammo, they get their kill and don’t waste ammo, I get to not waste time in futile attempts to escape, win win.

I go the other way, if I’m blatantly outclassed in a no win scenario, or if my plane is crippled, then I’ll happily drag someone low and/or away from the furball to waste their time… every second they’re chasing me they are of no threat to the rest of my team.

But yeah, this mechanic was a silly solution to a problem that didn’t really exist at scale.

In sim I had three kill denials per battle in worst cases.

So you’re not a sim pilot then, yes?

For me, flying Sim exclusively, it’s about the fingers of one to two hands in 8 days… = /

Thats what I used to do, and if I’m damaged I will still do as I would give a full kill regardless, I just sick of this entitled “I deserve a kill mentality”

yes but sim and RB are 2 separate animals and SIM is the mode that may have needed it but didn’'t get it, we got a fix that was need in sim in a mode that didn’t need it

No, pls refer above, applying a fix that is needed in sim only in RB helps neither sim nor RB

I agree with this.

Well…I am sim player. I dont care much about ARB.

Then kindly disregard my comments, I do not play sim and will not pretend to know what is and is not needed, if I butted into a conversation that was exclusively about sim, then I apologize, I just assumed it was not about sim as the mechanic dose not apply, if the conversation was how to apply it to sim, the I was speaking out of my lane and again apologize.

Not necessarily to waste their time, but to survive.

For example, ended up in a vicious 1vs1 this week in Sim EC, me in the Hawk RDA, he in a Flogger. (Admittedly I over-extended and fought way too far behind the front, near the enemy airfields…).

I missed with my last Sidewinder, he still was armed to the teeth. Fought with him for quite a while, lower and lower until he made an error and crashed, and I managed to sneak home to rearm and refuel.

In such a situation it would be nice to get at least a Battle award for the Maneuver Kill.

I don’t even care about any SL or XP reward, but the maneuver kill giving some form or recognition and maybe even count towards kill stats would be nice.

But alas, I’ma Sim player so thers nuffink for me… = (

Hm, why not have columns in the stats for kills, assists and maneuver kills? = )
