So you think it’s just a mere coincidence that he spent the last several minutes flying in circles around his airfield without any issue but only happened to crash when I got in gun range?
wanna see a great example why air sim should have manouver kills
just spectate “Patonana” on team 2
https://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/500217545133615045
so you think the hornet here didnt deserve the kill on this Su-30MKK
how lucky must I be to see it all the time then, specially with premium planes in lower tiers!
The main gripe is that it’s always players who are known to be under-average players making horrible takes on the forums. Surely a below-average player shouldn’t be dictating what should and shouldn’t be in War Thunder? I suppose I was wrong to expect at least a 1kd.
The worst part is how they’re against rewards when it is a net positive. This change doesn’t even penalize anyone (unlike the infamous SL/RP rework). Bombers still get killed and sent to the hangar. When you look into the stats of players who are against crashed aircraft rewards, a majority of them are bombers who get shot. Bomber/attacker player does not benefit from being shot, refuses to learn how to fight players in the pvp game, and as such, they want everyone else’s rewards to be reduced to their level.
Even Thodin himself said he is a major bombing/attacker player. He doesn’t understand rewards for crashed aircraft because he doesn’t participate in the PvP aspect in the PvP game. So why should such a player be able to dictate PvP rewards?
Only in War Thunder forums where people intentionally grief and deny kills and somehow it is the fault of the person trying to get the kill in the player vs player game. I also didn’t know giving rewards for everyone is ruining the game, and with the economy still in tatters.
The fact they implemented this already shows the state of the game.
-
You are rewarding the most agile aircraft and ignoring the fact there are a lot of scenarios where players can get a kill but simply robbed because of distance.
-
It rewards AoA players who use it last minute to get a kill resulting in some random not involved getting a kill.
-
Why not reward all players near by? the closest wins? I have had scenarios where I am in a GOOD distance and someone playing like an idiot comes in last second the person crashes and boom nothing for me?
Overall, people will say “my unique situation where I had my patience at airbase and this person kills themselves last minute to prevent me from getting points” is a Gajin problem.
The best fix is NO AA in ARB for anyone, you get ONE life and one Attack if you fail then boom this makes sense.
-Penalty for actually crashing giving a kill to a random (remove it let anyone who crashes regardless of playstyle have no time out on crew)
-The person sacrificed their team in Non AA base to make it to AA base. (Why is this not fixed? I have seen tornado mains drag fighters to non AA base and get them all killed to buy some time for them to get to AA base? remove ALL AA bases OR have ONLY AA bases for players in ARB)
- I am an idiot who hold 20Gs on a turn and doesn’t think but 1 in a million change crashes into friendly. ( Friendly fire should result in Lockout of ALL Nations for minimum of 15 mins to 30mins to a day ban. Why are we allowing retarded gameplay at higher tiers with no braincells?)
This implementation is good, I don’t believe it’s bad in most regards but just like infantry and other issues they are half baking on these things because people complained enough without much thought to overall player base.
They are easy rp/sl
That is banned as far as Im aware.
Every player opinion should matter still. Even bad player ones. This logic is remnant of past. Louis XVI followed same logic but ended up in bad position.
Idk if its just me but people in arcade seem to not employ scummy tactics like this one. Mb there is smb else with bigger experience who could confirm/disprove.
Or just remove it for non sim modes. Zero reason to keep it. Besides extra suffering, rage and toxicity.
This might be the most delusional post yet
As delusional as rewarding for crashing your aircraft.
It rewards any aircraft that happens to be within the distance of the crashed and J-out aircrafts. People who are already on a collision course won’t ever win the dogfight they’re in anyways. Idk what “robbed” means. They’re inevitably going to die to terrain. There’s no robbing here. More agile aircrafts can push you into a more vulnerable position, but ultimately, they don’t control whether you’re going to crash.
This doesn’t really make sense to me. What does AoA players even mean? Planes with high AoA? I found planes with high AoA like MiG-21s more likely to crash because they bleed so much of their speed they can’t even hang in the air anymore.
It is something Gaijin did admit would happen from time to time. Luckily it is an outlier that doesn’t happen too often. From personal experience it’s like, 1 in 10 crashed kills? You and I both know they didn’t make it reward everyone because let’s be honest, that’d be too good, and its Gaijin we’re talking about.
And they did, which is why gaijin fixed (or alleviated) it through crashed aircraft rewards. People now gain partial rewards for a kill (it’s not even 100% of a kill, mind you, more like 2/3rds or something, like an assist) if someone crashes within 3km of your plane or missile (a very small distance by ARB standards). People hear “kill” and assume it’s like a full blown like I gunned him down amounts of rewards. No, you get a reward equivalent to an assist, the kill is only there for credit.
Unintentional crashes do happen at a far more often basis than intentional ones. But I do think they need to improve their reporting system in terms of intentional tk crashes. I had a teammate ariete trying to crash my A-4 this way at one point.
Yeah I kind agree. Like yeah, crashed rewards are good, but it definitely can be better. That being said, this being implemented at all is a good step forward, considering it’s something people have been asking for years now. And it’s really rare for Gaijin to add an objectively beneficial feature like this. Usually they’d nerf something else in exchange.
No downsides. Its rare to see gaijin give extra SL and RP with no penalties. This is a win for the entire community
another day, another example
keep in mind most of these here are always when im OBVIOUSLY in the advantageous position
You know what, I agree it is a win so I shouldn’t complain to much. I digress
a win for everyone but air sim players…
“Oh look, megalodon, I must check it out”
same match btw, this actually has to change
i feel like the kill award range should be increased to at least 2 or 3 miles, so just had a match in ARB where the last hostile was a Finnish F/A-18, was 4.5 miles behind him and i launched a sparrow, just when the AIM-7 got 2 miles away he’d J’d out after chasing him for a good minute thus giving no kill credit leaving me with 0 kills from the match, which, when flying my F-16As is typically how the matches end, not dead, just with nothing
i actually think its awsome that agreeing to Pve will get you a game ban for a month while purposely denying player progress is perfectly fine and fair.
i doubt this can be abused to that extent and if it is the sleepy game masters should just slap a permanent ban. theres no way it can be THAT hard.
