Something so simple as adding a code to detect when someone is getting kills while not moving and have no missiles in the sky and insta ban him until a mod can see what happened it’s too hard I guess
How many videos of air sim players being denied kills does the community need to post on this thread befpre the devs change the rules?
If the devs are not going to fix this issue then they need to remove the spawn cost in the game mode. Its the only game mode (besides the new nuclear thunder) where you need to slend SL just to spawn. Players that J-out right before getting killed are actively denying other players from regaining the SL that they already spent.
If the devs are not going to fix issues such as this they they should make the SL cost happen upon loss of the vehicle instead of upon spawn.
Or just make it so it doesnt work on aircraft that are on the ground. Or within a certain proximity of an air field.
Sheesh, imagine how easy this could be abused…
The Harrier could VTOL (all of the VTOL planes), so if a plane isn’t moving it can’t get maneuver or J-out kills
That’s something that would get abused
I dont know it that would work being going into hover is a legitimate tactic for harrier pilots in a fight and itd be east to just lazily bank one way or another.
Exactly.
It can also invite more rewards for cheeky spawncampers, since when you are an spaa and try to swap to a tank to clear spawn you reward a kill to the closest enemy.
Better to decline 2-3 kills that a Harrier could get than declining kills for all other planes
Yea I see that, I don’t trust parts of the community with such power
nah VTOL jets can only hover for a few minutes before the engines gives out
but they can land for an infinite amount of time!!
Better be safe than sorry, it’s a small price to pay for the greater good
please never add this to sim
Explain please.
It would at least make me feel better knowing that the devs are at least trying to think of a plan to somehow port this over to ASB. Not this… radio silence that makes it seem like the mode itself is forgotten.
But no, literally every other mode gets this mechanic but the one that needs it the most.
This is synonymous with speaking to a brick wall. Or to put it more bluntly: every game mode matters except the one with the highest potential
The lack of this + another ‘mechanic’ not being removed is a combination that just makes me tired.
wouldn’t say highest potential, but most potential wasted absolutely
A gamemode where the difficulty is highest is often the most rewarding for people.
Not the dumbed down version(s).
Of course, that is just my opinion
From someone who plays nearly only GRB, the current reward for planes crashing into the ground is very flawed, decent mechanic in concept, however the one who gets the reward doesn’t always make sense.
It doesn’t always make sense that if a plane crashes into the ground, that the nearest ground vehicle will get the kill.
In theory, if two planes were dogfighting close to the battlefield, and one plane manages to outmanoeuvre the other one, so it crashes into the ground. If there were a tank closer to the place where the plane crashed into that the chasing plane, the kill would go to the tank, and not the plane.
Another is, if you by chance fumbled an attack run, and crashed into a cliff side, the guy you attacked, and were the reason for you not having time to pull up, might not be the one getting the kill, just because another completely uninvolved vehicle were closer to the place you crashed into.
Also a SPAA shooting at a plane, and forcing them into a bad manoeuvre that they crash into the ground with, the reward could go to a completely different tank on the ground.
In regards to what will be implemented for ground vehicles, I feel that it is not that obvious what is meant with “shells within a radius of 3 km for ground vehicles”, shells specifically in ground.
Does this mean that it is in the case of someone exiting a vehicle before a 1400m/s shells passes over their tank by 500m, that it is that person that gets the kill, instead of the guy who just missed the target by 5cm, and that shell have just hit the ground?
The what about the people all the way into your spawn spawn camping? Do they get then get rewarded for doing nothing, because a person just spawned in, saw the spawn got overrun 2 seconds later, but they still haven’t moved?
Overall, I feel that sounds like a bad mechanic in most cases for ground.
I feel that for ground, there is so many what ifs that just ends up rewarding people who are not even involved in fighting that specific enemy.
While I do agree for something like people who leaves their tank before a bomb/AGM kills them, that the one who dropped the bomb/fired the AGM should get the kill.
The closest person might not even know there were an enemy 200m from them then gets a reward for free, or the SPAA that shoots at a plane flying over the enemy spawn, can also get a free reward for a person who spawned into the wrong tank.
It also punishes people/rewards the enemies in cases that they leave their tank to go into a plane/SPAA to shoot down a nuke carrying plane of the enemy team.
Yeah they need to differentiate between aircraft and tanks in grb for this. Aircraft can stay at 3km thats fine but for tanks the distance should be lowered to say 500-800 meters. I feel that distance would be enougj to still curb the players J-ing out when cornered and without randomly giving the kill to somebody who doesn’t even know your there.
