No, its not. And still has nothing to do with the AMX-40 increase players didnt want.
KV-1E/B should be 3.3, theyre soviet/german, theyre suffering a lot rn
Nice, now the AMX (jet) loses its only (10.7) lineup and can now face Pantsirs, even though it’s a subsonic jet with only GBUs, becoming completely redundant. Yet another vehicle killed by the absolute incompetence of the devs.
A5C needs moved to 10.3 and J7D needs moved to 11.0 quit catering the BR to bot accounts
Super Etendard is in the same boat, within 2 BR changes the things gone from 10.3 to 11.0 with the addition of literally one vehicle (leopard 2a4). Just goes to show how incompetent it comes to when deciding the BR’s for vehicles in this game really. Now it will get to sit at 11.0 where literally no one will use it as the Jaguar can just do exactly what it does without having to face leopard 2a7’s in a Leopard 2a4.
What’s wild is pretty much every BR Change annoucement for the last year or so, players have said the 2S38 should up. And once again, its being spared for what can only be bias at this point.
And don’t forget the italian d30 at 3.7 in sim while the other 2 are 4.3…
2s38 has horrible statistics due to it being a popular premium, gaijin operates almost solely on statistics
IMO the T55AM-1 should be at 9.0 in AB too. It’s composite armor works better than on some heavies it faces while it’s gun fired rocket fired makes the protection on the late WW2 tanks it fights a bad joke while running circles around them with it’s boosted mobility and stabilized gun.
As if listened to advices…
Lmao, yet another BR update, and the Ayit does not move up in ARB.
Type 81(C) literally cannot deal with any helicopters hovering in base at low speed, the seeker will literally not find them (unless they start moving quickly)… Aside, it is completely helpless against any aicraft flying at high altitude and the second any aircaft launches ordnance against it, it’s practically dead (sometimes the seeker will find incoming missiles, most of the times it wont and it can’t smoke itself up).
So a SAM that already has severe capability-gaps at it’s own BR, that cannot deal with an entire class of aircraft at all, gets moved up because people happen to fly too close to one and get blown up…
ADATS, FlaRakRad, TOR, HQ17 all have the ability to deal with pretty much any aerial threat (they’re still outclassed by most cas, but that’s beside the point). They can deal with helicopters and aircraft at long ranges, can detect them early (due to not being dependant on aircraft actually rendering, which they tend not to at long ranges).
The Type 81(C) is significantly more situational, the second any aircraft, regardless of type, is aware of it’s existence, it is immediately rendered useless. Any helicopter can literally faceplant itself infront of it, hover at min speed and will (almost) never get locked, any aircraft can simply stay at high elevation and either avoid detection, or can simply outrange it.
People being oblivious to an SAM that doesnt ping their RWR 50 times on approach should not be an excuse to uptier an already situational vehicle that has severe capability-gaps at it’s own BR.
This is not doing enough. Air realistic needs dozens of changes that aren’t listed here.
The A-10A Late and A-6E TRAM haven’t been changed, so why does the AMX (jet) have to be moved to BR 11.0?
Sorry, 6 seconds of reloading of the 300mm gun + penetration, 120mm gun and good armor with okay mobility, and such a vehicle fights on Tigers 2 h or p t26, is unfair
When will Gaijin realize that it’s normal for some vehicles to perform above or below the average, and that this is not inherently a problem?
There is a major difference between a vehicle being “overpowered” and simply being strong within its role. Constantly raising or lowering Battle Ratings (BR) to force every vehicle into the middle of the statistical average is not healthy game design.
Balance should be grounded in hard vehicle characteristics first—things like armor, mobility, firepower, and historical or technical capabilities—and only corrected using statistics when clear outliers emerge (such as the Object 279).
Right now, Gaijin seems to rely almost exclusively on raw performance data without considering the deeper context. There is no sign of real nuance in their BR adjustments: no regard for how changes affect lineups, no thought about whether a vehicle will become redundant, and no exploration of alternative balancing methods like small performance tweaks, module changes, or lineup reworks.
Not every overperforming or underperforming vehicle is incorrectly placed in the tech tree—sometimes their strengths or weaknesses are natural consequences of their design. Simply reacting to stats without understanding the why leads to bad decisions, and we’ve seen it repeatedly: vehicles being rendered completely obsolete, lineups falling apart, and previously popular machines becoming unplayable.
For more than a decade, War Thunder has relied on this simplistic, outdated balancing method. Even as the player base has grown (removing the old “queue time” excuse against BR decompression), they have refused to innovate or adopt more sophisticated balancing systems. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see no meaningful evolution, even when the community has pointed out the flaws for years.
Look how stupid gaijin picked up the char25t or amx50 90mm on 8.0 even though the char and this amx50 are TERRIBLE on 8.0, the penetration of 209mm on 8.0 is a joke, let alone on br 9.0, and such a heavy amx50 that is really op has 7.7 where is the sense here.
And once again, they ignore the community.
Especially the SIM community
@Stona_WT any official comment on why any and all development for Air SIM has been abandoned?
No BR changes, no new brackets, no new maps, no map updates. Etc etc
Hahah so true first thought with the new shell Vextra at 10.0 BR was to take it into top tier with Leclerc and maybe even bring Somua to fill a gap because am researching my first Leclerc
I would like to add to this that the Super Etendard will now be at 11.0 without getting access to stock missiles.
The AMX which will also move to 11.0 gets its missiles stock and they are all-aspect AIM-9Ls, plainly better than the rear-aspect Magic 1.
