Responding To Dev Server Feedback Regarding Turret Baskets

But you are celebrating when they added destructible autoloader modules on tanks that isn’t your favorite?

If Russia wasnt one of my favourite nation i wouldnt even bother to Grind it in the first place, just like i didnt grind Italy.

In fact i have most vehicles in Russian tree.

T-90M and 2S25M are one of my favourite tanks alongside with Su-34/30SM, you dont know what you’re talking about.

Yes, especially since that statement from Gajins devblog doesn’t seem to be true. The floor of the basket is just a very thin plate for the crew to stand or sit upon. There are no technical devices, especially its not linked to the turret traverse whatsoever.

However, ingame the whole thing is a turret drive now.

And they claimed that they reworked on model in order to decrease spalling.

What a lie.

Check the Leopard 2A7? Generate a side hit and watch the side spall liner doing nothing.

Currently im spading my Su30 so i havent tested those new modules but i bet they decreased both leo and abrams survivability a lot.

My gripe is that they haven’t made damage to the autoloaders stop turret rotation, when arguably the carousel autoloaders are even more vital to the traverse than the baskets. currently, if you send a round into the autoloader, and do nothing else, the enemy vic can still turn its turret and also send the round that is in the breach, your way.

We must have very different experiences then. I have hundreds of games in Israeli 9.0 - 11.3, and I think I saw tanks surviving hull shots with autoloader getting damaged like few times.

I also noticed that the autoloader tends to get damaged by shots hitting their roof, so you often take out their gunner/commander and autoloader.

I woundered that as well. Flawed logic.

Try shooting them fron gun shield or ready rack.

Instead of exploding autoloader simply absorbs the damage.

I killed them plenty by shooting at the ammo rack, as I said only on few occasions the tank didn’t explode after having it’s autoloader damaged.

I actually made a post in another thread where I looked closely at one of those shots and guess what, my round barely grazed the autoloader and went through the empty part as the enemy didn’t have it fully filled up.

Awful change that the devs pushed through despite overwhelming negative feedback because “We know best” is gaijin’s mantra.

Yep, just here to pretend they listen to the community. It’s a paper position.

Well, do T-Series tanks have a massive autoloader that is somehow essential to, you know, reloading? and that consists of loads of mechanical and electical stuff that could be destroyed when a round or a bunch of molten metal is flying around the inside of a tank? Similar to a human loader? that can also be taken out in game?
Let’s not look at the fact that somehow these autoloaders have additional armor around them that conveniently have exactly the thickness of the cutoff so they catch spall from the lightest but still best armored mbt hulls sides but oh wonder, they are just thin enough to not produce any spall themselves when penned. Magic, i know.

And does the other have a metal cage without mechanical components and very little electical components so does not contribute to the traverse mechanism and doesnt stop any spall. But somehow, magically that metal floor that has nothing to do with the turret traverse mechanism stops the rotation of a 20 ton tank turret?

That might be the answer you’re looking for

Wow such a good feature for bad players that can benefit.

Skill floor becoming lower and lower…

To be fair, the snailers did release a very appreciated statement for the reasoning of why they are adding these updated interiors and good reasoning for why they are or can only update all the tanks gradually so i guess all we can do is hope it wont take years until tanks of other nations also get to enjoy more annoying features and just stay away from top tier for one or two patches.

Or just play russia, cause to be honest the t90m and t80 bvm surviving with minor damage pushing around a corner angled at 45 ° and being shot right through the driver without any further damage to the tank and in case of the t80bvm a nonpen on the mighty russian era by the light tank known as the leclerc and its pitiful dart was kinda impressive.

I’m curious to know, if this is meant to be added to more MBTs, does that mean the T-series are included. I checked the T-80BVM and the T-90M last night and while the autoloader was modelled, it wasn’t connected to the turret ring/basket in anyway despite being so in IRL. The ammo carousel rotates with the turret. If we want to assume and model random hoses and cables within the botton of the turret as part of the horizontal drive system, does that mean the T-series are about to get a massive module that includes the horizontal drive AND the autoloader system? Or is this just NATO-only nerf?

Bit of brown stuff on the nose there. Post-patch, the sentiment around this massive nerf is still overwhelmingly negative. It’s just a matter of Gaijin not caring about it enough to course correct in the slightest at this point.

for now its only m1 and leo but its go for all top mbt and really i wish form this game to remove it for game play if we speak in realty we will see fuel to tank and if i hit your fuel tank you will stop

By the way, when adding this modification to Russian tanks, the turret will stop moving if the tank’s head is hit from above, or literally any hit anywhere, due to the narrow space inside Russian tanks. But who knows, this company loves the Russians very much.
