Responding To Dev Server Feedback Regarding Turret Baskets

Well I put in what I know, I can’t locate the post that stated 60 for you, tried my best.

They’re still stuck with a Soviet-era transmission, i don’t know why they did not think to upgrade it because most of their tanks when they try to retreat from a certain battle, they need to turn around exposing the weakest place in the tank.

Also forgot to mention if Gaijin planning to add SEPV3 without A3 shell that can penetrate Kontakt and turret ring fixed and some clear armor improvement i personaly don’t want it to get added, since it would be a waste of time to grind for it just like the SEPV2 (being fat, slow, 0 armor added)

The issue with the sepv3 being added
They fixed the UFP being able to penetrated
They increased armor protection to the LFP(can definitely still be penetrated but if it’s not DU you’d have to be almost point blank)

Issue
Pretty much after the first Abram’s you already can’t be penetrated by the UFP anyway…….
So all you’re getting is literally marginally better LFP protection and that’s it. Meanwhile your weight increases by 5-8 tons and you get no improvement in the engine. So by fixing the armor values on the Abram’s for you’re literally just making it worse cause in game it’s way better than it’s supposed to be. Also Kontakt-5 would be able to be penned by M829A3, since that’s the round developed to defeat it. M829A4 is the variant used to combat relikt but it’s not perfect.
On the UFP of the T-90M you’re not going through if you hit the UFP and Relikt, same can be said for the turret cheeks.
Hence why I state the SEPV3 is the competition of the T-90M and not T-14
T-14 has even more penetration
Has even more armor
Has even more mobility
It’s a league ahead of the T-90M
Again I’m not glazing only Russian tanks or anything
In terms of perfect tanks the armata isn’t perfect and the Russians understand this (hence why it’s still being developed right before they were about to launch it)
However I’m not going to glaze the Abram’s either
The Abram’s is an outdated design the moment they had to increase the weight of it to keep it relevant and it’s due time for it to be replaced by 20 years now
We should be defining modern battle tanks based on these factors
Size
Weight (todays age shouldn’t be over 55t)
Gun
Autoloader (it should 100% have one not even an option)
Engine
Transmission
Countermeasures
Crewless turret

Also I forgot to add the mission it’s designed for as well.
That’s very important

There’s cases of ricochet happening and penning the turret ring.

Also if you’re going to talk about classified tanks you can bring proof of your statements, SEPV3 is weaker than the Armata is Putin’s wet dream.

Ah yes the UFO next level technology.

You’re clearly glazing Russian capabilities, while undermining the West, while in reality its completely the opposite, the west is 20 years more advanced than Russia and a sane and non-biased person can say the same.

Except we aren’t 20 years more advanced
Ukrainians slapping relikt era to the Abram’s they get
Only rank I know they don’t do this to us the leopards they get
Also
If you’re going to glaze western technology please tell me how a Japanese tank
Weighing only 40 tons
Is has more armor from the front end of the tank than the Abram’s SEPV3
Even my buddy who WORKS ON THOSE TANKS
Stated as such
I’m not glazing Russian tanks
T-90M is by definition outdated
However I’m not going to sit here and glaze western tanks
They weigh a ton
Their armor is poorly optimized (hence why they are over double the size of a Russian and Japanese tank and almost double the weight for equivalent protection)
And cost more with no room for upgrades without having to go back and rework the chassis
Again
All that volume you see on western tanks doesn’t even need to be there. These are 3 decade + designs that were outdated the moment they rolled off the assembly line
The name of the game now isn’t size=more armor
It’s how much armor can you pack into the smallest chassis
Hence why you get the same protection on a 40t chassis even though the other 2 are 60t+

Edit this was flagged as offensive. If an American and army core engineer telling you that these tanks are outdated and why they are outdated in today’s world is offensive you need to ignore this. Get mad, get angry, etc we don’t care. However it’s absolutely disrespectful to for you to flag something that’s true. Armored warfare has changed and massively so. The Abram’s was outdated the moment it got off the assembly line. Better composite and technology was already available and we chose not to pursue it in favor of expediting the process

All i said is you’ve stated alot of infos with no basis, Muh… T14 is like a GOD but you did not bring any proof of that.

I don’t get the cope about Sep V3 better than T-14, in terms of WT the T-14 and tanks like it will be meta, Leo-2RC, EMBT and Abrams-X with unmanned turret will just be better than the Sep V3, there’s no way to cope about that.

It’s a tank
A tank is a tank and how it’s used depends on how successful it is
I will state this
In terms of technology it’s behind
The Russians do see that the T-14 isn’t performing how they want it to
Whether they are trying to recreate the previous success of the T-72/t-80 series god only knows
But it’s held back for a reason
Also this isn’t me glazing the T-14
I’m not gonna glaze it cause as of rn it’s not even out of the prototype stage yet
So nothing to glaze
Can’t glaze western tanks they are all outdated and it shows with how much they weigh (we have better options for armor without increasing the price/ the weight of the vehicle

Unless it managed to reduce weight i wouldn’t consider it successful. Its a good concept and definitely a step the right direction
I still don’t understand why they didn’t approve that
That is literally leagues ahead of what we have now and is honestly a force balancer
Our tank is literally the worst tank in the world by the very definition of what the Abram’s was meant to be
It was meant to be cheap (it’s not that)
It was meant to be easily transported overseas for potential conflicts against the USSR (now Russia)
Can’t even do that without costing a fortune and can’t even be transported across most bridges
It chugs gas
If the fuel tanks get hit
Unlike diesel the crew is cooked and will die just from the fuel burning alone
It’s not fuel efficient at all which is the opposite of what you need
It’s just a major pain

It did say it managed to reduce weight to 60 Tons and the turret looks like it can shave off a lot as well.

Step in the right direction lol
Chassis protection could be upped by a lot
Honestly it’s better to start with a new chassis. Utilizing the modern concepts we got out there
Reduce size
Reduce weight
Focus protection on vital areas as well as crew
Crew-less turret
Autoloader
And you’re set
Not really much you can do with an old chassis. Still the X variant is a step in the right direction and if they were going to update it they should have gone with that

You still did not state any proof of your claims at all, so i won’t take you seriously from now on.

If by success you mean the tanks are terrible, then yes.

Totally loving watching ANY part of my turret basket being hit and instant spalling and hydraulic fire… yet I’m watching my 120mm APFSDS phase through Russian autoloaders with 0 damage done to them. Always interesting watching my round go through a LFP, through the driver, phase through the auto loader basket and knock the engine out yet their ability to fire and reload took 0 hit.

This change has made no difference, tanks can take rounds and have a yellow or red basket and still be able to rotate the turret and shoot back.

Pls send a example

Just made a bug report on how my red turret basket was somehow locked up in my M1 Abram. Funny part is, there’s a manual override so it should be able to rotate anyway

I don’t have that saved in my DVR, but this is two that I do.

Quick weird stuff lately

Have you tried watching hit replays? Seems obvious to me that none of the things you described are in those situations.

Open the hit replays and watch them, you can also send the video here.

The first case - shot a shaped charge too low, it went below the autoloader, and in general shaped charges do not go too deep into the tank.

The second - you hit the stern of the tank, it can be seen on the hit camera. You either have a big ping, or you took a video from replays, where there is camera unsynchronization and you actually hit there
