Reshuffles to the Ground Vehicle Research Trees in the Next Major Update

These changes could have been made after the vehicles were released. There is no need to wait and treat it like a major announcement—especially when there is nothing substantial to announce in the first place.

Italian Pz IVG is a premium though, same as Pz.Bef.Wg.IV J, they are unlikely to be moved down in rank fortunately.

Idk in my opinion an artifical gameplay advantage for exact the same plane is actually a way worse thing than progression advantage. F-84F main game activity is base bombing and having an air spawn gives you higher chances to survive and get the base faster than your teammates.

Honestly I don’t care much about rank placement of identical vehicles apart from that case, but rank II/III case also touches tasks requirements, which I think is a bigger problem and should be revised (maybe change it to BR requirement instead, like 3.0 or 3.3).

With this update the final tech tree 11.3 is being moved from Rank VIII to Rank VII, and yet the CV 90 MV.IV is still at rank VIII despite being a 10.7. Why is this not being moved too as Sweden is getting nothing moved, and the rest of 10.7 is at Rank VII

They should be excluded from obligatory research, like some low BR french tanks.

What was the point of the Israeli dev blog? It could have just been covered here.

Also, I still disagree that the Cromwell V is equal to the Chaffee or M4A2. So it’d be nice if some of the reports can be corrected.

Do note that Nathan misinterpreted my original bug reports for the rear smoke dischargers from the old forum as ESS. They are not ESS and work in a similar fashion to the smoke dischargers on early German tanks in game. With the ability to be dropped behind the tank, or activated in their cradle.

When are you finally fixing the german StuG III G´s muzzlebrake. You know it´s wrong cause you corrected it on the italian one. It´s wrong since I started this game at the end of 2014. So please in the name of the holy StuG live end this blasphemy.

Easier SAM access to destroy early helicopter that can’t decoy any missiles because they lacks Flares/Chaff ?

(yes AH-1E/F/S i’m looking at you, and you can’t go at lower BR)

I have one question. with all of these reshuffles, WHY is the type 93 STILL the ONLY 9.3 SPAA in the japanese tree, and maybe in the game (not sure) that’s rank 7?

Some question for the Type 24 and 16

I actually kind of understand those being there. If those moved down, then rank 7 would have only three vehicles if you dont count the folded and premium type 90s, while the type 93 has no business being so high when Japan is the only nation not having a missile carrying spaa at rank 6

You also don’t really need the type 24 or the Type 16 at Rank 6 since you already have 3 IFVs there and the type 16p is not really that different

Any particular reason?

Could some additional changes be made in the German tree, so that the progesstion makes a little bit more sense?

I have some suggestions:

Can you please move the BT-7A (F-32) to rank III. It was moved up to BR 4.0 a while ago and it thoroughly deserves to be a rank 3 vehicle.

Hey @Smin1080p_WT , sorry to bother you, but you usually provide usable answer where possible.

Could you please provide some information or forward it to the relevant staff for an answer?

It seems like an incredible unfair change to the tree.
So understanding the reasoning behind it would be nice.
Especially since Germany’s Rank 3 has plenty of space to keep the M44/M55, and move the Stug up.

Thanks in advance.

Hey.

Each nation has their own BR range for each Rank and the cutoff is usually slightly different.

In this case it allows for better progression, as the BR of the StuG III is higher than the M55/M44, so moving those two to follow the Hummel directly makes more sense.

Every tree will have its own variations of similar vehicles in rank in some cases. As each has different research requirements.

From a competitive parity perspective, having the M44 and M55 be rank II in one tree but rank III in four other trees is simply unacceptable tbh.

It is the same vehicle and it should have the same ability to complete dailies and specials, not to mention the ability to grind event vehicles and decals. Sorry chief but this ain’t it.

Sadly for the German tree, 3.7 is too low of a BR for Rank III in terms of researchable vehicles. With these changes, progression through the tree is more logical and correct in terms of BR order. The StuG will correctly take its place behind them.

Its always been the case that a similar vehicle can be different ranks from tree to tree, depending on that trees spesific BR ranges.

I understand this in terms of population distribution of vehicles and trying to keep the number of vehicles per rank stable. I even understand premium vehicles getting rank III as a selling point when their equivalents lack it (the Romanian duck or the HQ Pz IV J).

I simply think in this case these progression considerations (understandable though they are) are blinding you to the parity aspect that’s being compromised. The unfortunate bottom line remains that some players will be able to use a tech tree M44 for all tasks and events, and others will not. Rules for thee and not for me.

I know there isn’t really much you can tell me because this is literally your job, but as the go to guy between the developers and the community, it is also proper for you to be aware that at least some players are unhappy about this decision.

Have a good one!

Question: wouldn’t the Ostwind and the Wirbelwind need to be moved down as well in that case? Both of them sit at 3.3-3.7 (RB) currently. Also, I take it that 4.0 is the minimum to be considered for Rank III; so would the Emil and Panzer IV (H/J) also need to be moved up (along with the Dicker Max, if we count AB)?

This, it’s completely unfair for a nation to have the exact same vehicles (literally copy-pasted) and not be the same rank. Just folder them with the StuG and there’s no issues here.
