Research taking veryyyyyy looooooong

Hey,
I am still more or less new in WT (Unlocked Tiger I in Germany, Got to 5.0 in USA) and I play USA Ground RB at around BR 3.7. I constantly finish second, third or sometimes even first, but I always get only around 1000-2000 rp at the end of the battle. I dont have premium account and I am not using premium vehicles. I plan buying one, but since I have console account, theres no discount (yet).
Anyway, I want to grind faster, so would a Premium account be worth it for me?
Thanks in Advance :)

I play 3.7 USA because I have only one 5.0 vehicle unlocked

Premium account is ALWAYS worth it. It’s the single best thing you can spend money on in the game.
Always, always, always get a premium account before even considering buying vehicles.

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying premium vehicles the first year of playing War Thunder.

You may want to make yourself aware of the RP penalty for researching things out of the effective range listed in the stats of the vehicles.

Also though, use the efficient vehicle listed in the statcard of the vehicle you are researching to research it. When you use it you get a boost towards the RP.

Another one I commonly mention is to not start with your best vehicle, use another, then use your better one. I feel the instant one-shot/head-ons result in losing that vehicle rather quickly.

Thanks, I just wanted to say that I don’t want the Premium tank necessarily because of the grind (surely, this is a reason though) but I would also like to play top tier MBT (Click-Bait) because it’s just a completely other experience. And I don’t want to spend millions of hours to grind the Tech tree abrams or Leopard 😅
And btw, how many hours did you spend approximately until you unlocked your first top tier MBT?

Also be aware that there’s a few squadron top teir MBTs now. Squadron vehicles are good if you can find a good active squadron and can pull the required activity points.

It’s better if you got a full lineup for the specified BR.

I am already researching the Leo 2 pl and when I get more squadron points, I get around 7000, Is this good?

Not quite, but yea, you want to aim for 20000 RP a turn, but you want to see that your activity is getting the entire 360, and if that is achieved and you’re not getting the entire 20000, then your squadrons activity overall may not be enough, so maybe need the deputy or the leader to try get more active people in and do a purge of those who aren’t.

Capturing points, assists, and frags are all great ways to earn research in matches.
As for a premium account; when on-sale it’s $40 for an entire year of double RP earnings, never losing SL in matches, and a gain in SL earnings.
I say it’s worth it even if you have to pay full price of $80 for a year at this time of year.

I don’t actually grind.
I play purely for fun, and can play for weeks squaded up with friends I’ve met here for no other purpose than to have fun.
I’ve never had a “main”, since I play all nations and like to spade all vehicles in a BR before I start on a higher BR. So I guess it took years before I researched top tier.

Finally, I don’t play top tier very often. Top tier is not a fun tier. The BR’s just below the top tiers are infinitely more entertaining in my opinion.

As for Click-bait, it’s not a premium I would recommend. Abrams are not very beginner friendly and you probably won’t have much fun playing it.
If you really want to spend an insane amount of money on a premium pack, I would recommend USSR which will probably provide the best experience. Alternatively Sweden or Germany.

Yeah. If you can afford it, I’d recommend buying premium account for a full year when it is 50% off. It is $40 USD for a year when 50% off which is usually around 4 times per year.

yes

Buy it 2 times 🤘🤘🧑‍🎤👨‍🎤👩‍🎤
