Replace the fake F-16AJ of japan to Thailand F-16ADF

That latter image shows port side and doesn’t give an F-16 code to look up.

Starboard doesn’t have them either, nor would they because they’re on port side normally.

You have to remember that Thailand operates MLUs as well, which do have the increased flare count.

The 90xxx tail numbers seem to be all MLU aircraft from preliminary research.

If you want a serial for the aircraft in the photo I picked, I couldn’t tell you. The only thing visible from the image is that it’s a 103rd SQ F-16A OCU, you can see it doesn’t have any IFF on the nose unlike the eMLU or ADF.

Yes, it’s only the two in the tail that are standard on all F-16s, then Thai OCUs have the additional ones behind the left wing.

Thai eMLUs only changed the type from ALE-40 to ALE-47, but retained the same amount of dispensers. All Thai OCUs have the capability, though of course they aren’t always mounted similar to how there isn’t always full missile loadouts. but in these cases you can still see the covers for where the dispensers would be if image quality is good enough.

Mauswaffe, I found another discovery…
There are sub-variants of OCUs.

AA, AB, AJ…
AJ is what I’m seeing appear with alleged more countermeasures.

So in reality there are 4+ variants of F-16 that Thailand flies, and Gaijin could just say we’re not using 15AJ in-game.

And no, the Thai MLUs I found all have higher countermeasure counts. Including 1 MLU in that bug report.

This one is 10324 (Block 15AA)

But I’ll also look up all the images from the report as I can. But at the very least it is known the eMLU upgraded aircraft already had the capability, of which the earliest was 91366, a Block 15AJ.

Images in the report

103rd SQ unknown (Block 15AA / AB / AJ)

403rd SQ 90024 (Block 15AZ)

103rd SQ unknown (Block 15AA / AB / AJ)

103rd SQ 91062 (Block 15AJ)

103rd SQ 91062 (Block 15AJ)

403rd SQ 90031 (Block 15AZ)

403rd SQ four unknown (Blocks 15AJ / AX / AY / AZ)

…and that’s all images from the bug reports

  • If any of you can find out what serial the unknonwn aircraft are, please share it

Yes, eMLUs all have four ALE-47 dispensers. But that is the same amount as the OCU, which I wanted to say.

In the bug report all images are OCUs. Even though some were later upgraded to eMLU, the images shown are pre-upgrade which can be seen by the missing IFF on the nose.

Thx for your effort :)

AJ will probably go the way of the R2Y2 if and when a suitable replacement is found, we’ve always known this. MLU woule work better than ADF due to its ground attack capabilities, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Nothing wrong with keeping the AJ for now :)
