is aim-120d really that much harder to notch? I find it just as easy to notch as other fox 3s, i still find mica the hardest. Though ATP all fox 3s are easy to notch.
Only times you die to aim -120ds is really when you run out of chaff, like for example in this clip aim-120d managed to relock me only because I ran out of chaff, but it’s still super easy to decoy.
The F-16D Block 30 Barak I testbed Rafael used to test it seemed to work just fine, so no technical limitation to adapting it when it comes to the radar. What makes it “impossible” for war thunder is that no Sufa has yet to test or use the missile, which is why gaijin hasn’t given Derbys to it.
MICA is the hardest to notch of course, but the PL-12A/AIM-120D track a bit better than the base PL-12/AIM-120C under notch conditions if guided by TWS.
MICA is irrelevant for the discussion though, since the F-16 sufa is not able to carry it.
never gonna happen AIM-120D doesnt get pit on anything lower than 14.3 other wise F15E/ F18C late would have it
Either that or reduce the BR to 13.7. Sufa at 14.0 makes no sense
every plane at 14.0 has C5s why would they drop it to 13.7 when F16C at same br gets AIM-120As ? you would have to take away the C5s for it to go down
