No changes to the PC before hand. EAC is not enabled, non steam game, vanilla WT launcher, low graphics settings. Verified the files, deleted cache and shaders, rebooted the PC multiple times, ran windows and nvidia driver updates. No joy.

Nice depth coming through now. ;)

Is anyone on the work in progress client compared to the normal? (People should be on normal most of the time, if not all the time)

Not using the work in progress client.

Also, I can watch full replays without issue, I can test drive vehicles without issue. The issue is only present in online matches it seems.

So after the last update the situation is the same. Reinstalling didn’t help

If you’ve got multiple installs, I’d check that you didn’t leave something… Especially if you did jump on the dev server.

Many have reported that deleting the EAC folder fixes it for them, so maybe look at what remnants of EAC there are, everywhere on your PC maybe.

same with me

If your game is crashing after like 1 min after you join a battle try this.

Go to your war thunder folder and in War Thunder\win32 right click on the aces.exe, go to properties then compatibility and check “Run this program in compatibility mode” and on the drop down menu select windows 7, apply, ok and then run the aces.exe in the win32 folder, it will ask you to run the launcher press no and then another pop up will appear press ok, then log in and done.

This fixed the problem for me, hope that gaijin will fix it tho.

No go for me. Tried for both win32 and 64

does not work. just gives errors befoer entering the game

Actually, I set both to compatibility mode but only ran the 64bit exe. Running the 32 bit exe works so far.
Thanks again!

You may want to check the above post and see how you go.

Be sure to check if it carries the fix over after it’s reverted if someone dares.

Thank you, it worked for me, amazing!

This helps me too, I have been experiencing silent crashes 1 min into battle in production client after installing the dev server client by copying and modifying the production game files in a new folder.

Same problem. Maybe next update will fix this? Or it needs an issue report

So next time if I have to run the game again, do i have to go to win32 again or start normally thorugh steam?

Well…

I suspect thermal throttling of GPU.

Maybe it’s time for Gaijin to re-examine the minimum PC sphecs…

Also, can Gaijin please feed the hamters?

Thanks

I just tried and I can’t get it to run in Compatability mode in win32, only in win64, it gives me options for Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vesta.

Graphics are noticeably worse on my GTX960 with this last patch, before crashing.

Yeah I think it is the GPU that’s being throttled thermally, it’s extremely hot and there’s no way for me to cool it down.

This worked for me for now, Thank you! Win11 is easier to use the right-click method to get the file properties and choose the previous Windows version for compatibility rather than the built-in troubleshooter.

I apllied the compatibility settings eithe on win32 and win64 and it is still crashing after 1 minute or so.
