People don’t understand that the Su-30 is the name of the aircraft’s export version, and they write that Russia isn’t its primary operator.
Maybe you should do some research before writing such nonsense?
From an air-to-air perspective, this wouldn’t make much of a difference because the best Sukhoi is the Chinese one. I don’t know if you’ve flown it or not, but the undisputed best aircraft is the French Rafale. When you face it, it won’t matter whether you’re flying a Russian or Japanese Sukhoi.

best flanker is not the chinese flanker lmao. rafale being the best jet has got nothing to do with this.
I’d say let them have it, if Gaijin decided that it’s a sub tree they won’t change that, just like UK will get the MKI in the next months, or like China will get the Su-35.
In my opinion the stupid choice is not giving the russian counterpart to what has been added in this update, just like for the Americans.

NGL at this point even fixing the AAM-3/4 wouldnt put japan in a great spot. Like yeah they’d have the best IR and ARHs in the game, but only 4x arhs at 14.3 would be rough. And other nations missiles could also be buffed up to have more comparable performance anyways.

Japan is growing very much as an air tree that’s for sure, maybe it won’t have as many options as the Chinese in the future, but it for sure will have some of the best choices, like the Rafale for instance.
That’s why they do it. Unique stuff cost money to make. Copy pasta is free. If filling a tree with copy pasta baits people into grinding a new nation (and buying a pack), they will do it every time.

That’s the typical case of “the original jet manufacturer gets it”, but that is not applied all the times and this case is surely one of them, it is what it is.
Many, many flanker variants, and potentially J10’s and other taiwanese jets.
Also let’s not forget the newer JEFF variants.
