Remove release speed on top tier jets

I differ somewhat. It’s a real concern when dropping ordinances IRL but for the sake of game balance I’d remove it from ALL STRIKE AIRCRAFT only. just give them just a small edge over the fighters in game that people fully load with bombs.

Bomb pooper, amazing

I tried to find more elegant words to describe it, but yes… that. XD

At same time F-111F manual states mach 1.4 for GBU-15(and AGM-130) for example
I think it depends on aircraft, not like in wt

Yeah certain aircraft have special release pylons that sort of throw the bomb away from the plane before it has time to catch the air

That’s just further proves why it’s not necessary to have mach limit, if you can’t go much beyond that limit, why have it in the first place. I had that happen enough times where I couldn’t launch it and had to slow down and is unnecessary imo.

That’s the exact same reason why aircraft capable of reaching Mach 1 were implemented before speed of sound effects… Or the presence of a mach number at all.
It’s also the same line of thinking that led to it being held off for 2 years.

“It won’t be seen, therefore it shouldn’t exist” is an idiotic way of thinking. Regardless of whether or not an aircraft will be reaching Mach 1.4 in GRB or GSB with an A-G loadout, it’s still a borderline glide munition with a maximum permissible speed.

Seeing as you can’t provide a screenshot, I doubt it.

I did paste a screenshot lmao

They should remove the hard limit, and add the lift to the bombs so they crash into the plane.

Otherwise, limit should stay.

Release speed limits is totally dependent to if the IRL jet did have those limits. For exemple, the French AS30 missiles don’t require to be under a certain speed limit because they were tested and confirmed to act within safety limits. For most bombs, however, their geometry make things very unstable especially at supersonic speeds, where nothing make sense anymore

Finally lower all Tornado IDS’ BRs. Cause with its speed literally removed there is no reason anymore to fly these bricks. You need to brake to below mach 1 before dropping any of these 1000lb bombs (which are a joke at this high BR anyways), this means you might just use Alpha Jets anyways in Ground Rb. If you can’t use its speed, its becomes pointless. In GRB base busting my F-4F with rocket pods is now massively superior. You snatch any base with rocket pods long before any Tornado with its speed limited bomb drops might do so.

F-111 at least has huge Sidewinder loadouts to play it vs air. But what about the Nado? Just two Sidewinders and now totally useless 1000lb bombs. Nothing lese.

I don’t know whether its real or not. For a video game it probably doesn’t matter anyways. A jet which role was low alt speedbombing becomes useless when you can’t use speed.

It all depends on the particular airplane and bomb. You can’t just say, “No, you can’t drop it above Mach.”

You can’t, you need specific equipment. You will damage the aircraft without said equipment.

Nah, I don’t want to argue about what I know and can’t confirm due to some limitations.

A lot of it is classified because they are used on modern jets but pretty much everything prior to the F-15EX is a no go with some exceptions.

These exceptions are many. So I only can tell: It all depends on the airplane, the location of the pylon on the airplane, and the bomb itself. For dumb bomb maybe really limitations valid.

Again, a test drive screenshot is not what was requested.

The F-111 and F-105 are the only ones I can think of rn
